Thank you to everyone who is collecting the news articles. It's nice to be validated and not feel like I'm just some angry fan who's being a homer because we lost. But that officiating turned my stomach last night. I struggled all night as to whether I would actually want to watch games for the rest of the season. That was probably the vodka talking but what I witnessed last night was something else. It felt like a movie where the outcome was predetermined and they were just trying to make the storyline work.

I hope Siemian gets hit in the head couple of times along with the backups this season and blow up their season to hell.

Why would you wish that on that kid? If anything the defensive players and Demarcus "I'm such a great Christian but I'm obviously complicit in trying to destroy a mans brain" ware have some bad karma coming their way.

No penalties on any of these blatant, cheap shots yet the referees call a face mask on an O Lineman?

This has to be one of the worst officiated NFL games I've ever seen. Does it take Cam being carted off on a stretcher after a shot to the head to get a penalty?

The NFL needs to take a close look at the film of this game, not only because of the cheap shots but also for the referees inability to make the calls.

The Gif also missed the shot that cam took to the head when being rushed.  It was in the fourth quarter around the last drive or two.  The defenders arm knicked the ball but then bashed cam in the head.  I didn't think defenders could hit the head of a QB at all.  I remember the panthers getting penalized for the same thing against the Falcons.

Its called Eye for an Eye,nothing is better than their QBs getting hurt and ending their season.

Sadly this has a lot to do with Cam being a black QB. Agree or disagree the NFL doesn't want Cam to be the face of the league. Its clearly expressed by the refs who are an extension of the league office. This game gives you a great look of what its like to be black right now in America. Cops can intentionally kill/hurt black people knowing without a doubt that no penalties will come against them. People will make the excuse that it is because he is 6'5, biggest guy on field, etc etc just like cops/pro cop people claim its the dead black guys fought for committing the crime in the first place. Committing a crime is not a death sentence in this country just like being 6'5 isn't an excuse to  be constantly targeted for head hits. But what can you do when people who claim they aren't racist and players who clearly see it happen refuse to stand up and do the right thing.

This is how the NFL controls the outcome of games.

It happened when we played the 49ers in the "playoffs" a couple years back. It happened in the SuperBowl(thanks Clete!), IT happened last night and you're OFFICIALLY trying to take out Cam this time. It's not the players, they'll do what the are ALLOWED to do. It's the officials.

Broncos are paper Champions they got a lot of help.

If I'm the OWNER of this team I'm fuming right now!!!......if he isn't he knew all along what we've long suspected

And last season Green Bay Vs Detroit, the guy had one finger on Rodgers face mask.  After they showed the replays you could see that the guys finger just barley hit the bottom of his face mask.  Aaron Rodgers then went on to throw a Russell " Throw up a prayer " Wilson type throw to win the game at the end.  I do understand that the guy did in fact touch his face mask and at the end of the day since those rules are in place it was probably the correct call but my point is the Broncos can launch themselves directly at Cam Newtons head and the refs just say..."Eh, the hit wasn't that bad"  What a MFIN joke.  I have never really blamed the refs for losing a game but this one pushed me over the edge.  I understand we did not help ourselves at all but this game was absolutely ridiculous.

This is sad and extremely hard to watch. I really hope this doesn't affect him later on in his life.

It's pathetic to think that some opposing fans cheer at the site of this. It's almost synonymous to what the Romans did back in the day in collesium fights. Just throwing humans in the cage like a piece of meat for thier own entertainment

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
