Cam left to hang dry when things don't go our way. Where's the attitude and meanness?

Fox007 made a good ass point and this definitely needs its own thread

Cam takes the cheap shots, late hits, hits to the helmet. He gets abused and what am I seeing from the other players? Nothing. 2013 team wasn't going to have that. Look at our team then vs now. We don't have any players you KNOW not the mess with or you will get your ass beat (Smitty, Hardy). That nastiness and meanness is not there. We may have some good tough players, but it's not the same. It's not what Denver has. Teams play dirty against us, PLAY DIRTY BACK ( in before but this team went to the SB (and LOST), they didnt )

Post-game, Cam is left to hang dry too. I don't see in any press conferences from Ron telling the NFL to go fug themselves for letting Cam get illegally hit. Somebody on this team needs to say something and make it LOUD and CLEAR. I didnt hear anybody tell the media to go kiss Cam ass for Cam answering a few questions with a hoodie on and leaving after losing the damn Superbowl

This occurred to me in the offseason and I agree. It absolutely manifested tonight. Smitty, Norman,  would have never stood for that kind of dirty crap, but we've slowly filtered those players away. KB is really the only one I could see stepping up to take that void and I hope he does.

Panthers were a big part in the rule changes over the off season. Its obvious and we saw it in the pre season with Cam. They are trying to cut down on the show boating and we are the target, when you see a flag thrown for Trai jumping up and down on a TD you know something is up. We may not being able to show that enthusiasm like we were able to last year even when we are getting screwed. Its gonna be like playing in a bottle all season.

Just like that 2013 Niners playoff game...  A play or two into the game, one of our guys chest bumped a Niner and we were called for a personal foul.  A play or two later, Boldin headbutted a guy and the ref stood there and watched before breaking them up without a flag.  It sets a precedent and sends a message.  They called Trai early to take our edge off...  keep us from getting too comfortable or asserting ourselves physically, in a physical game, lol.

I also like how Shane Ray hit Cam then got up and taunted him, which was much more demonstrative and "in your face" than Trai's, but that wasn't a penalty.

Ron is too stoic for my tastes at times.  I think he tries to placate more than stir the pot, but I agree.

Smitty might have murdered someone on Denver tonight.

Literally.

Probably true about Ron. He's from a military family. Stoic and by the book.

Not that it's a bad thing

And not that they're all like that.

Say what you want about Bruce Arians, but he would be at that podium absolutely ripping the NFL, refs, and media a new one had Palmer been headhunted like that. Hell, just look how he stood up for Campbell when he get cut at the knees by a RB.

Hell - they'd have started ejecting defenders long before Palmer got hit in the head 6 times anyway.  They throw around personal fouls for accidental slaps to the head area of most QBs.
