Recipe for beating the Panthers:

  • on defense put 9 in the box and apply constant pressure to Jake.
  • on offense keep throwing short passes to your receivers. the panthers provide a cushion, use it liberally. also, send all your rushes towards the ends.
  • on special teams, regardless of how far the ball is kicked, just return it. get yourself on the 35 or better every time.
  • also on special teams, if they are going to punt, just blitz the punter. he won't be able to get it off.

sound about right?

Don't forget to double cover Smith. That way one of the two backs can get an INT when jake still throws it to him.

Oh Gayman, this board can't be nearly as fun for you once a few people start agreeing with you can it?

Hey, dont blame me that people are starting to see what I have been telling them all along. It must be killing you to have to admit that Gman was right. Everyone should be used to gman being right all the time by now. :D

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
