the bronco's leaked the blue print to beating the panthers. keep in mind we haven't played a team besides Denver for 7 months.

It's a great blueprint if you have top level talent in the secondary and the pass rush. Most teams don't have that, pretty much no other team has their level.

Precisely. Denver's blueprint requires elite rushers and a quality secondary, a combination that few teams have, and Carolina still almost beat them in their house. As long as Carolina plays their game (the "any given Sunday" factor in the NFL) I'm not overly concerned.

Here's the deal: We can't keep going down the road butthurt over Cam taking those hits. Publicly, the NFL fined the two most flagrant hits and followed their basic policy on that. They did not, however, say "Hey, go knock his head off, it's only $24k in costs to win a game."

You had better believe that the refs at our next game are going to be on top of this before it gets out of hand. They'll shut it down the first time SF or we take a headshot on a QB. Period. They couldn't come out and hang those refs last week, not one of their premiere groupings and not in the first week of football. This week, we're playing a much less high profile game and the jabronis that will be calling it can and will get hung out to dry if they let that crap happen again.

So, rub some dirt on it and let's get back to the game. Walk it off, man.

That's why the Panthers D will have to return the favor, I don't care if we injure cpl of player a game long as it's the opposing team getting the punishment.

I disagree.  It needs to be our Offense that makes them pay for this.  If a defender takes cheap shots at Cam, he needs to get bodyslammed by 300 pound screaming mountain man after every play.

Been saying the Panthers need to start playing like other teams play them. Start pushing the envelope, bashing the opposing QB late, hit him in the head, give him the same treatment the other teams give Cam. I bet we'd see some late hit calls on Cam start rolling in pretty quick when TD sends Drew Brees to the ER.

These are my thoughts. The fan in me wants a suspension because fug those dirty cheap shotting players. But realistically this will keep Cam more safe, hopefully being more ready to throw flags because it's been plastered all over sports tv, radio and the Internet.

Also, not all teams play with malicious intent. There are good coaches that teach proper technique and play. I'm pissed that they basically got off with a light slap on the wrist, while the NFL launches a 100 million dollar program for safety, because it was sickening watching the game and hearing Denver players comments. But moving forward I think Cam will be watched more intently. Which is all that really needs to happen for Cam's safety.

Some real quality points on page 2! 8/10 would read again!

So I've been classically "butthurt" over the way our QB has been treated.  It was an excellent point that the team that called the first game of the season as well as the fact that it was a premium game for the NFL, affected how the game was called.

Refs are ranked on how well they call games.  I don't think a mid-tier ref group is going to take chances on being hung out to dry the NFL.

There was also several good points about the Denver D versus the rest of the NFL.  While someone might be 80% the rusher of Von Miller, they aren't Von Miller.  Likewise to their D.  Just because you can run the same scheme doesn't mean you should.

I'm not going to discount SF.  I do believe we're a better team, but I do think that they have the ability to give us real headaches (not an intentional pun).  If they try to do the Blue/Green Dog blitzing, they aren't going to make the same calibure of plays Denver was able to due to them having some of the best players in the league at key spots (OLB, CB, S).

If our opponents play that game all season, then I agree, we're going to have quite the successful season.

I really hope so. I think some of you are underestimating SF though and will be surprised how tough this game will be.

I personally think LA just didn't come ready to play, on either side of the ball.  That front 4 of theirs' should have been able to manhandle SF's oline, but they just looked... almost disinterested.  On offense, LA should have matched up well, but sure didn't play like it.  It's almost like they thought Gurley would be automatic positive yards, and were lost when he wasn't.  I think we'll find out pretty quickly, but I don't expect SF to look remotely close to what we saw Monday night.

Here's the thing, not every team plays dirty like that. Everyone has known the key to beating the Panthers is limiting Cam. They just haven't figured out how to do it. I doubt coaches are saying go hit him in the head. The Broncos really didn't leak a blueprint or expose anything. They can't beat Cam fair and square is what they proved. Again, even with the dirty hits and missed calls, Carolina almost won that game. Gano missed a field goal. There aren't many teams like Denver. They're good and dirty.

I agree, not every team is coached dirty like a Kubiak team or Fischer team.

but every team has guys will to play dirty for the right reward

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
