I'm struggling to maintain my hatred for the Patriots...

I hate NE and their smug condescending better than thou attitudes. I am envious of their press man coverage. People talk about their offense without Brady but what is winning games for them is the defense. They don't get a ton of pressure all the time but receivers can't get separation so the throwing windows are so tight. They get coverage sacks. In some ways their style trumps ours because our zone requires we get pressure.but against dink and dunk teams or those with good offensive lines we struggle. With a tough press man coverage scheme and zone.over top they force you to hold the ball and throw everything short to backs and dumpoffs since your receivers can't get open. It may have been preseason but they shut us down pretty easily as well.

I was 10 when the Panthers lost to them in the Super Bowl.  I don't hate them as much as some on here because I was so young when it happened, but that doesn't make up for the fact they have been caught cheating for the better part of the last 15 years.  So an account of my 10 year old self who cried after we lost that game, fug them.

I can look at the Patriots and see them as the team you have to beat to legitimately considered great. Belichik has become our generation's greatest coach and will be remembered among the greatest ever sometime, probably with an award or a trophy named after him.

Watching the game last night, I realized how the assistant coaches and below have changed on such a regular basis, but Bill remains. That says a lot for his methods and organizational abilities that he can turn these coaches into valuable commodities and that he can maintain his system in all of that turnover.

He's also got one heck of a scouting team working for him. That organization can evaluate talent like no other in the league and they are about the only ones who can find diamonds in the dirt at a higher rate than we do. Good scouting and player evaluation is how you build a dynasty in this day and age. Get your franchise QB and then spend the rest of your time finding good players who can execute consistently.

I'm still mad about 2003, though.

I can't wait to see the moment Brady retires.

They are what I hope we will be for the next decade.

The Pats win the games they should.......... all the time.  That's consistency, that's how you finally break through and grab a Lombardi.

IMO, Bill is in the top 5 coaches of all time...if not top 3.  Great football mind.

excellent coaching....; and fairly easy schedules... lol... however they always show up against above teams... with that said, I still don't them! I hate Denver more because it's not great coaching that gives them the edge. it's bad call and dirty plays. let's not talk about their egos

Yeah, Fox sports radio was talking about this last night, don't remember which show tho. And one was comparing the Manning/Luck Colts to the Pats. How both divisions have sucked, so they (Colts/Pats) win the division every year. But, the difference is the Patriots win the other games too. Under Luck....not so much.
