About those warm up observations....

I can't buy the troubled society bs...if that is true it speaks to the weak willed players we have and then replace them for players who can play through issues.

Other cities have been hit just as hard or harder with issues be it natural or societal...those teams didn't fold and shrivel up and some even won SBs off it...just unreal.

Now that I am sitting on the Roaring Riot bus and have more time to explain.

Once you have been on the field a few years you just get a sense for the tone of the team. It usually doesn't change get very much, from crazy high energy to high energy. There is a definite vibe on the field before the game starts.

Today was very odd. It was just flat out there. No energy. I started to take notice.

Then Cam came out and skipped his pregame routine. No lap, no football dribbling, no goal post prayer from what I saw. Just started stretching. Which is fine, I just found it odd as much of a creature of habit he is.

Then as I was walking off the field, another long time photog grabbed me asking if I noticed how low energy they were. That's when I knew it wasn't in my head.

Anyways, the team was simply unprepared and uninspired today. The result is what you witnessed.

This is now my biggest concern. Not the coaching, not the talent level. Both of those can be outstanding but if there is no desire to win it doesn't matter.

If they can't get motivated in an important division game for the lead, what will they be motivated for this season?

They where motivated in the 2nd half and had a chance to tie the game but you forgot to mention the most importatant issue which  is  Gettleman  and the positon he put the Defense in and Cam with the OL.

I don't think the riots or anything has ripped the lockerroom apart. It's a lack of talent in some areas and a whole bunch of not trusting the coaching. Can you blame them? That offense starts and ends with Cam and he doesn't look like he trusts his coaching. He probably doesn't trust his line either.

I said it before, and I'll say it again...  It's why I was so pissed that the NFL hosed us in the Superbowl for the sake of a great "ride off into the sunset" storyline for Manning.  When you work so hard, and have such a magical year going 15-1, with the league MVP, and you are robbed of your championship after a year long grind, it can't NOT take something out of you.  Yes, I am going to stick with that double negative...  because it's true.  I don't care who you are, that grind and coming up short, especially considering the circumstances, it takes something out of you.

Even as a fan, I came into this season more jaded than I ever have.  Then to open the season in Denver instead of making them prove their worth on our field, and to have their defenders trying to injure the league MVP on national tv with no consequences just compounded the let down we were already battling.  We had months to try to shake it off and the NFL immediately put us in a position to remind us of their power and haunt us with the memories of the Superbowl...  Once the season opener went down the way it did, I decided to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

All of that poo is hard to overcome.

This sounds like deflecting to me...reading too much into body language and stopping short of reading into the glaring deficiencies with our personnel.

It's followed cam his entire career though, so it's not really shocking.  I'm sure it won't be long until all the brainiac NFL analysts start blabbering about his pouting and inability to lead his team from an emotional standpoint.

I was just thinking how much this reminds me of 2014. Bad news it got worse before it got better.

2014 was when we had trouble keeping the same O-line unit on the field. We had some high scoring games but we also had sack fests and blowouts. People kept wondering what was "wrong" with Cam and whether he was playing injured and whatnot.

It sure does feel like a repeat and to be honest, that was my biggest fear coming into this season.
