60% Gettleman, 30% coaching, 10% players

Lets be honest for a second this roster is not talented, Gettleman hasn't done anything since drafting Kelvin and Turner that has helped this team. If we were to have a fire sale only about 7 players on this team would get attention. The rest wouldn't even get a second look. The coaches can only coach with the talent given, how is Ginn a 5th string receiver still our number 2? How are Remmers and Oher(two cast offs nobody wanted) our starting tackles?

This game was entirely within the Panthers grasp to win up until the last few seconds.

Poor calls by the OC and Ron's time outs extending the clock even when it was obvious the Bucs were looking to OT.

Players with stupid drive killing penalties on O and drive extending penalties on D.

Turnovers.

Yes, DG failed to address major concerns in the off season and deserves blame as well.

However, this team has been in every game so far and yet they find a way to lose.

how many of our 4 turnovers were the fault of any coach or front office employee?

Derek Anderson has more interception than TD in his career. WTF do you expect?

How about draft a receiver that can actually get separation unlike Funchess, who is statistically one of worst receivers in the NFL

I have a guy's back as long as I can.  I don't think I can turn on Gettleman or Rivera just yet.  I will say this though.  This season, so far, has been a car crash in terms of displaying the weaknesses of both of these guys.  If things don't get turned around, like yesterday, it is hard to see how either survives the off season.  How much cap space do we have and Getts let Norman go the way that went down?  That is some hubris biting you right in your Boston accented ass!  Rivera is showing he's a player's/staff's coach...SOFT!

man you've got your blinders riveted to your face just as bad as the most rabid gettleman nutswinger, you know that?

derek anderson is 100% capable of deciding to throw that ball away.  he isn't some robot that's only programmed to make bad decisions who is only on the team because gettleman hates you.

    • To all the analysts who said "Caps in 5", thank you for telling us their departure time.
    • We won't know the answer to this for a long time. Reality is, Caleb has been the consensus #1 in that draft for years. Bryce was a similar situation, but mostly the same. He was not the clear and obvious #1 that Caleb was, but most teams had Bryce at QB1. The Panthers were always going to be terrible Bryce's rookie year.  I don't think DJ Moore's presence would have changed anything about that offense, as our guards, center, and left tackle were getting demolished on nearly every snap. It's clear Caleb's dad was trying to do everything possible to ensure Caleb didn't end up in Chicago with Eberflus. It's hard to imagine that he wouldn't have done the same, but probably more publicly with our situation, considering Carolina is an easier target for the media than Chicago. We can all speculate, but it's impossible to tell who is going to have the better career on May 16, 2025. If either QB doesn't pan out, we have an easy answer. If both flame out, the bears clearly won the trade, but it wouldn't have really mattered anyway. We all know how we win the trade. Candidly, even if one of the other picks we gave up ends up being a hall of fame player, we don't know if the panthers would have taken that player anyway. All you can do is make the best decision you can in the moment with the information you have. I really like Bryce Young, and I'm glad he's a Carolina Panther.  The only way to win in the modern NFL is to have an absolute dude at QB. I personally am happy that our franchise recognizes this, as I remember times when they did not.
