If D.G. doesn't make trades to improve this team, it pretty much sums up how big his Ego is. On another note once Bradberry is healed we should start him and Williams on outside with McClain & Worley for Nickel. Although Teddy made some boneheaded plays in special teams his play on CB where ok, his recovery speed helped him get the Interception against Brees after he bit on move to the outside. The Panthers offense needs to embrace a role  similar to Dallas offense of ball control with more short intermediate routes. Use Philly & Ginn in the role of Beasley , KB & Devin should not be on the field together they need to rotate 50% of the time. KEEP POUNDING!!!!

At this point I wouldnt make any trades unless you could get incredible value for a low pick.  To deep of a hole.  Im not totally conceding but dont compound stupidity by trading draft picks away.

still a chance for a wildcard & can make the run like the Giants. If not you have veteran prescense that can be used to mentor the rookies while getting used to the system and be ready to roll next year.

Thats how you plan for the future!!!

No it's not.  We need talent and trading away draft picks to solve an immediate need in an already trashed season isn't how you rebuild.  If we were going to trade, then 2-3 weeks ago was when you do it, right now is too late.

We planned for the future when we drafted three cahnahs last year. You let them get game reps and develop. We need those picks to address other needs; throwing them away for a rental at CB is stupid. The only move that makes sense is Safety and while DG has shown that he is willing to make a move at that position, there isn't much out there.

Semi related: I was really pulling for Boston but he looks like complete dogshit out there. I would have liked to have seen Weddle in blue and black.

Can't say we did warn them about Sanchez, like the kid, but he wasn't very good at OU.

Can someone make a GIF of 1:15 left in the 2nd. 1st and 10, Brees throws to M.Thomas for a first down. Boston does his trademark move... gets a full head of steam and completely whiffs on everything and goes flying out of the picture. An average safety would have obliterated Thomas on this play, maybe even have knocked the ball out. He looks the part of a starting safety but just can't deliver the goods.

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
