Got a chip & a chair, still have a shot, just need to build the chipstack... Have to win a few coin flips, come out on top at the chosen moments and some good reads on the opposition, we can still make a run... Year after year, I buy in to this tourney, fug yes Im all in....

It wouldn't take wins to get me excited. Just play football at a high level and I'll be thrilled even if we lose. When the Panthers have a tight zone in the secondary, and it's shifting around and confusing the opposing QB, that's exciting. When the d-line is violent and coming at the QB with a load of thunder, and you can tell he's about to piss himself, that's exciting. When the offense is executing and Cam is finding the open guy with pretty passes, and explosive runs, that's exciting. They don't have to win to get me excited.

When I see giant gaps in our zone, bad angles being taken, scrubs getting knocked over by opposing RBs, receivers flying around burning by our guys, that's a waste of time. Boring or sad or funny or whatever it is, but not exciting. When our offense feels like a wish and a prayer on every play, and mostly ends in disappointment, that's just a waste of a Sunday afternoon.

I watched almost every game of our 1-15 and 2-14 campaigns, nothing's going to turn me into a passive fan. This season has been brutal after all the expectations. Most of us assumed 11+ wins and a decent playoff seed were a foregone conclusion. Each one of the four losses has hurt more and more.

If there's a team capable of going on a run, though, it's these Panthers. They've proven it in past years and I'm excited to see what the trio of Bradberry, McClain and Johnson can do to improve the secondary. If they can hold up and the pass rush progresses back to the mean, the D should be back on track. The turnover margin is the biggest piece of the whole puzzle. We haven't had many balls bounce our way, and that's the kind of thing that usually corrects itself statistically.

I won't give up hope until we've hit 8 or 9 losses and officially are out of the playoff hunt. It would, however, take a tie for the division lead to get me truly optimistic again. I think that 12/24 home game against ATL has potential, once again, to be huge.

Truth be told and this may sound crazy, but I'm not turned off from watching the Panthers. I still want to see them. If we continue losing in tight games, then I still want to watch in hopes that we can win

Now if we were downright getting destroyed on Sunday, that'll be something else

Here's the thing. I can't stop watching & when I'm watching I'm always excited even if I'm reverting back to 'peewee mom' cheers. I want to know if Cam saw the same thing I did, if Luke diagnosed the offense correctly. If Ginn is gonna hold onto the ball lol. We have a chance for a streak & it starts Sunday. I'm ready. I'll always be ready.
