Surprise, surprise. The hit by Campbell was deemed illegal. No poo, thanks NFL. Also, Gettlemen spoke to NFL on Monday.

No its not.

Rule 12, Section 2, Article 12 (roughing the passer) says that: "A rushing defender is prohibited from forcibly hitting in the knee area or below a passer who has one or both feet on the ground, even if the initial contact is above the knee. It is not a foul if the defender is blocked (or fouled) into the passer and has no opportunity to avoid him."

That's what happened to Brady..............and it's called the Brady rule for a reason.  So.....................

It's really the refs discretion.  The NFL deemed it illegal against Cam............so basically if you hit below the QB's knee it's a penalty.

Don't think it was intentional but the "Brady rule" (proof other QBs get this call) clearly states that intent doesn't matter, which makes you ask why there was no flag on the Vacarro low hit vs the Saints because it was a "wrapping motion" according to the ref.

This was not a penalty on Suh and he did not get fined after the fact because the RT was deemed to have caused it by committing a facemask penalty.

Im loving that our team and staff have finally stood up for Cam and took it straight to the top...  that being said, i still dont know how it took this long to happen.

It didn't.

Rivera indicated in his presser that they've been to the league multiple times already and the league always "said the right things".

Basically, it sounds like the league's been stringing them along.  Now that it's out in the public though, that won't be so easy.

Brady's been known to tell guys who get flagged "They made that rule for me!"

Well, he committed the facemask penalty..........so.................not gonna lie that example was pretty terrible.

Not if he's tripped by an OL

Using that logic, Leonard Williams should not have been penalized for ripping Palmer's helmet off.

After all, Williams was going high (he has to) and wrapped what would have been Palmer's arms and torso, until Palmer tried to duck and pull out of it, hence the helmet came off.
