Shaq out, looking like Jeremy Cash may get some defensive snaps. At least I hope so. I think he would do really well covering TEs.

Heck yea, I'm interested to see what Cash looks like out there in real NFL game speed.  I also think this will help us on special teams as he's always been a guy willing to get dirty.

i just want to reiterate that Jeremy Cash was never brought in to be a player on this team

the main goal with him is to get him in the system, have him retire in like 4-5 years, and become a coach. 

i have heard this from multiple people in the know. 

write this down somewhere.

Um...not to be "That guy", but, you did just write it down. So you are saying we need multiple copies of this? I guess there is nothing wrong with having documentation for back-up.

they want to get him in as soon as possible. This guy is a smart cookie. 

like, he'd be smart in anything he does. he just happens to be einstein compared to 99% of people in the NFL. 

If he had the body to actually play in the nfl god knows what he'd actually do. Instead, they're just thinking ahead.

This really isn't that uncommon of a practice.

For one, players tend to relate better with coaches that played. There is a kinship there. Having gone through the wars together so to speak.

 

For two. Maybe the powers that be, think he can actually help when he sees the field?

 

For three. He went to Duke, so he must be really really good looking, I mean smart.

 

For four. You need to bring in some youth to your coaching staff every so often. Don't want to get stale.

 

Add em up and you get 4 extremely shaky azz reasons. Hope that helps ya.
