Lol fug those commentators for lauding the refs for that non call with Barron, fuging petty and just dumb.

they said what they were told to say. they could have made it a little less obvious if they hadn't have tried to get the narrative in even when he ran

Am I the only one that hates the ideas of fining players especially after the fact? It's like hey our refs keep missing on calls but at least we will get more money from these players!

They should start fining the damn refs, the problem would fix itself quickly.

Cam Newton is one union member. Multiple union members are taking cheap shots at Cam. Whose side do you think they're gonna be on?

Its almost like signing to a record label and you and the head of that label have the same lawyer

They should be on the side that isn't being protected by the rules. The fact that it's other players doing it is irrelevant - the NFL's ('official') job is to police the players on the field and they're blatantly failing in this area.

A twitter blast storm from fans with the media thirsty to write the story will do it. We have to make it happen.

We can not expect Cam or Rivera to keep calling them out, but it is a story and we can feed it. At the very least, this will fuel the concussion litigation the NFL is fighting in court for former players.

It may also set up a case for Cam if his career ends prematurely because of these types of hits in the pocket. Defenders will go for these hits if they see that the officials allow it. Even if it meanst they get fined.

We should expect that of Rivera.  At this point, he is now dropping the ball.  But I will give him until Monday...he said he wants to watch the tape.

He better watch it and embrace a fine.  If not, I'm actually going to be done with Rivera.  That is what a coach does.  He needs to now

Unfortunately..Its going to take Cam to be taken out on a stretcher before the rest of the league feels like sh*t for letting this happen..

Until then..Gettleman knows the NFL won't do sh*t to protect Cam so go get get some offensive lineman to protect Cam RIGHT NOW!!..the front office is much as the blame as the refs as they keep letting sh*tty remmers play and Cam face dirty hits to his head..

Exactly what i said in the game day thread. If the league won't protect cam  then go out and get some offensive linemen that will protect him and stop being cheap and playing backups. Gettleman doesn't take matters in his own hands he needs to be fired. PROTECT YOUR QB.

The job of a union isn't to sort out what's fair. The job of a union is to act in the best interests of it's members. In a case of one union member vs. several, a union is going to be on the side of the several. That's just the way they work.

I said earlier this season that if this poo keeps happening, our OL needs to adopt the role of enforcer. Hit Cam in the head, trust and believe we are going to take you the fug out.

Sounds like Roger sold Cam a dream this week too. It's time for our defense to play quarterbacks the way defenses play ours.

Uh, no, it's not. Is this the reaction you teach your children? Stupid. Not time to act like a child, not time to lower standards, that won't do anything at all whatsoever except make us look bad.

Change needs to happen but it will not happen this way and supporting even more vicious, injury producing hits isn't the answer.
