The fact that we're reduced to the point of practically having to pray that Remmers of all people doesn't get hurt should really tell you what an utter failure our offseason was.

Even the nicest Panthers homer shades can't make that stinker look better.

Unfortunately some huddlers around here proves this otherwise.

Again, what would you have done last offseason, knowing the likes of Norwell, CJ, Addison, Short, Ginn, Love, Klein, Leonard, Whittaker, heck even Remmers and countless depth are free agents next year?

And heck, I'm sure most teams don't have probowlers as depth. You'd have to expect a skill dropoff at some pojnt from starters and depth.

No one expected Oher to have a season ending concussion first thing, and Kail to be quite injured this season.

So tell me, all knowing huddler GM, what would you do?

Blah blah blah.

Why do people like yourself have to go so far to convince yourselves that there was literally nothing whatsoever we could have done to address our OL depth? I'm not talking about magically acquiring some pro bowl starter, I'm talking about basic depth.

Too many people in this fan base revel in mediocrity. As if just having a team is enough. F*ck that noise man.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
