Is Ron worried that he's losing the locker room and guys will go thru the motions the next 4 weeks?

My opinion is that Rivera did not "toughen" them last year while winning, so it is hard to toughen them now when losing.

I think it was clear at Seattle that the players had mailed it in and given up. I would play whoever wants to give maximum effort whether they were a starter or not. That might wake a few guys up who are going through the motions.

Why would that wake them up? If the players quit on Ron, that's just what it is. We're not going to the playoffs

Because every player wants to start and keep their position. Letting your back up play because he shows better effort is a sure way of getting replaced. Next year will happen and guess what Ron may still be here. Are you going to trust he gets canned or you will get replaced?
