I think he made in clear in the post he's excluding the Redskins game, where Steve got hurt in the 1st quarter.

He did his math by the 1st quarter he played in. You can't cherry pick the stat like that to make it fit your narrative. Because whether you get injured or benched if you started the game it has to factor in.

why are we comparing a seasoned vet to a player in his second year coming off a severe injury? KB will be fine. He will get better as will the play calling in the redzone.

Exactly.

And honestly if Kelvin would end the season with his current drop % , he'll have a better percentage than Steve Smith has ever had in his ENTIRE career. So that's an example of how stupid stats can be, especially when your trying to fit them into a narrative.

Steve smiths lowest drop % was in 2015 at 1.34% which was probably that low due to his injury.

That's not even the best stat for him. At 37 years old, he has a career high in catch percentage (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitSt01.htm). In 2005, he caught 68.7% of targets; this year, he's caught 70.7%.

he's three yards from passing HOFer marvin harrison for 7th in all time receiving. 750 more yards and he's sitting at 3rd all time, behind TO and jerry rice.

i suspect he'll play one more season.

Harbaugh and Mike Wallace are openly lobbying for it. I think he retires but he's welcome there as long as he wants.

He's HOF-bound at #7 anyways, but agreed. What a player. That TD/TKO of Harper/Jenkins is one of my favorite non-Falcon NFL plays in history, up there with MJD blowing up 'roid boy Merriman.

I've been here 8 years. I've seen carolina fans say he's not going to the HOF from then until he left. When he left they said he's definitely not going in. I wonder what they have to say now. That man passion exceeds his already physical ability and that's what made a great WR. I hope he wins a ring and I really wished he won one here. Thats why I get really mad at the Panthers sometimes, we been there twice and 0/2. They need to get on their poo about winning a ring

Look, Smitty is only coming back if he and DG decide that he can do a victory lap farewell season. And more than either of the two of them, it will be if Cam says he wants him here.

Smitty wasn't let go because he didn't have game anymore. He was let go because he wouldn't give up leadership of the team. The crown had to pass to Cam and Smitty wasn't going to give it to anyone.

It's not a leadership thing, it's about the locker room atmosphere.
