2nd year receiver coming off a knee injury.

This. If you take his name away and just look at stats, it's a solid season. Coming off an acl tear and a second year player where we throw everything at him and expect him to be elite, it is going to be underwhelming. Give the kid another year guys.

2nd year receiver coming off a knee injury.

That's why I said I know it's wrong I know he's not that bad it's just when he chooses to not be as productive it's at the most inconvenient times kinda like gano. He's solid but he can be better ... it ain't easy coming off of injury but if it's that hard you should slowly immerse yourself back into it but they threw him in there and he's playing like either he doesn't want to go 100% because of fear of reinjury or he doesn't feel like going 100% because of lack of effort/laziness. then other times he's plays really well.... 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️[emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

We've never had a receiver put up the kind of numbers he has after two seasons and our fans are ready to give up on him. Good lord.....

Read the comment above ... Plus this is huddle this was a place where you air your opinion ..... and plus just because we've never had a receiver put up his numbers doesn't mean we should be OK with what he does on the field he can do better that is the end

As long as you know it's wrong... then we're good. :)

In his 2 years of activity, he put up 73- 1008 yds - 9 TD and this year 63 - 941 yds - 7 TD.  Nearly identical numbers and this year was a year removed from a 12 month knee injury.

Is he frustrating 50% of the time.... yup.  Does he need to learn how to use that ridiculous frame... sure does.  Is his work ethic questionable/lazy... yes it is.  Should he catch more of the targets thrown his way... certainly.

Much like Cam, I think the addition of a running back will ease the pressure off of KB and he can settle in as a 1000-yd/red zone threat that can hit paydirt 8-12 times a year a la Plaxico Burress. Also our awful OL didn't give Cam enough time to let other receivers routes open up... which honestly is more on Shula.

My expectations are certainly lowered going into '17 than they were entering this previous season for KB being a beast in the league and being an elite level WR1.  However, I think he can be a threat week in and week out and think we all need to pump the brakes on kicking this guy to the curb, trading him, etc.

I bet you can play the hell outta some Madden.

He's a human being coming off of a huge injury and rehab. And this was a snakebitten year for the team where stuff wasn't going well no matter what.

He, like the rest of the players, should be judged on next year more than this one. Last year's Superb Owl appearance should have earned them at least that much respect from the fan base.

Lol yep.

59 yards away from having another 1000 receiving year while coming off a knee injury. The KB hate on this board is pathetic.

There's this other 2nd year receiver we have that couldn't even crack the 400 yard mark in his 2nd year! But let's bash the dude that has totalled 136 catches, 1949 yards and 16td'a in 2 years!

    • We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.
    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
