Why would it be at Steve though? LOL Steve didn't cut himself. He can't retire a Panther unless JR allows him. Steve didn't do anything lmao. It may not be anything about anything.

Honestly, Steve did cut himself with his actions and words.  He got complacent just like D. Will and thought he was untouchable to the point that he refused to take a paycut.  He made the decision easy.

In no way is that a shot at Gettleman. You have to be dumb to think that.

Also why would Oher take a shot at his GM, the man that gave him his contract? I mean I know he had a bad brain injury but come on

Gettelmen didnt exactly give him a vote of confidence in his presser.  Pretty much side stepped questions about him by saying he hasnt talked to him.

He really couldn't say much. No one knows if Oher will be back at 100%. He had a serious concussion for crying out loud that lasted for months.

The question is really the health of Oher. No one knows the answer really.

The primary reason its not a shot at Gettleman is that DG is the guy that saved him from Tennessee Titan hell and then gave him a nice, handsome extension.

So if he's taking a shot at anybody and the choices are 1. DG or 2. SS, then the obvious choice is Steve "Raven for Life" Smith, especially considering the fact that Oher doesn't have fond memories of how his time ended with the Ravens either.

Logical?

    • Correct this logic I might if it meant taking his guaranteed money now and spread it over 3 years (2026-2028) and maybe add $6m.  I am not sure you can do that, or that he would do it, but it would be a way for him to extend his career and bank accounts and we would be getting him for $6m for 2 years (if healthy), basically, since his entire salary is guaranteed now.  If not, we lose an additional $6m spread over 2 years.  So let's say his guaranteed $$ for 2026 is $18m.  Give him a $24m contract ($8m per) through 2028.  Worst case:  We get $10m in cap relief now and create $3m dead cap for 2 years (2027-8).   Best case?  We get cap relief now and a good/decent guard/tackle for 2 years (2027-2028) and the total salary per year when he is active would be $12m if you don't count any money for the season he cannot play.  That is a good value, and we'd basically be getting a 50% discount rate.  Since we have so much guaranteed now, extending him is not as crazy as it seems.   Something has to be wrong with this logic...
    • I don't disagree about Nikishin's potential availability, but Hamilton as a replacement? Not an upgrade in my book.
