I'm not from the Carolinas, and it was talked about for weeks here.

You're a Panther fan though, which is what I was getting at. And obviously I can't really speak to any real data, but most NFL fans I've talked to in various locales haven't really mentioned it if Odell came up.

I definitely think this incident will be more memorable in the eyes of the public, however.

Yea, I can appreciate his "it hurts to lose" attitude, but yea, you can't hurt yourself. I, too, believes he's got some issues that need to be talked over with a psychiatrist.

He can hurt himself, I don't care, but when he goes out of his way to injure someone else, that's my issue

Here's a thought...

You want to avoid potential distractions from people talking about you partying?  How about you don't pose for pictures that are obviously bound to wind up on the internet?

Or be recorded on a boat where adderall is being handed out like Halloween candy and people are smoking weed.  And the biggest violation of all.........Bieber.

I honestly don't have a huge problem with it since it was their off day and almost a week out from the game but I agree that it is not the best judgement and sets yourself and team up for a possible distraction of some sort especially when you play in the NY media market.

The media's job is to make a story. He made their job easy. He gave them their story. After the game, it's a non-issue if he plays well. He didn't play well. Maybe it had an impact, maybe it didn't, but the story is that it did.

You gotta be savvy enough to realize that before taking that trip. In today's world, that trip isn't going to go off under the radar.
