In 2012 he was on Twitter. It was right after a night game, he's having to sneak in quietly because everyone has gone to bed and there's no food in the fridge. I tweeted him an Om Nom meme and said, "Who knew we did the same things after a Panthers night game." He thought it was the funniest thing.

Hope he recovers fully and gets back to form for next season. He's been reliable enough to give him a mulligan this year because of injury, but kickers rarely get a second one of those from the same team.

I'm betting he'll be good as new.

(And could you imagine if we had to try and get a new punter and kicker in the same season, after having one of our Special Teams gurus pass away this past year?)

Panthers K Graham Gano underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his plant foot.

Gano was able to play through the injury the final three weeks, but he indicated after the season he would need surgery. It is unclear how long he will be out, but it would be a surprise if he is sidelined into training camp.

    • Shiiiiieeettt (RIP Isaiah Whitlock), this offense could’ve used those 700 yards lol, but I get it, not at the price he was asking for.
    • Has any team tried putting him at middle linebacker? This is one of the more puzzling draft busts I can remember he has top 1% measurables, played multiple positions in college and obviously had the production is it the systems he has always been in? Jeremy Chinn looked like Sean Taylor in Phil Snow’s defense and then couldnt get on the field with Evero
    • I've been critical of the organization's lack of urgency in addressing the goalie situation for a few years.  And it started with the annual injury reports when Freddie was a good goaltender. He got hurt every season, missing stretches of games, yet the Canes insisted on keeping him.  At least when Freddie got hurt, it forced the Canes to call up Pyotr, who was eventually given a heavier workload when Raanta's game went south. Much the same situation now, except the Canes don't have a backup plan and, right now, they can't assign Freddie like they did Annti. So, while the Canes can swing for the fences and bring in a Guentzel, Raantanen or Ehlers, the same can't be said for the goalie situation. And, yes, this team plays 2 different styles of hockey depending on who is in goal. Not a recipe for success. The Canes will be eliminated in the 1st round again this year. The Canes have 15 losses, Freddie has been in net for 11 of those. That number becomes more glaring with each loss and if the situation is not addressed, I fear the fanbase is not going to be very forgiving in Lenovo the next time Freddie is in the lineup.
