Yea, I ran a mock today that went:
1. Fournette
2. Roderick Johnson
3. Leggett
3b. Smoot
4. Kpassagnon

Planned a center in the 5th.

I like Leggett too... reminds me of Jimmy... that mfer

I don't think we pick that many, tho... Trade up is in the stars

IF Jamal Adams is still on the bored and we still take Fournette I'm breaking poo. We have a bunch of pussies in our secondary we need swag and a take no poo mentality. We need Adams.

I'm on the Adams wagon as well. A stalwart at the safety position who can lead and play both in the box and out of the box is the one piece that instantly upgrades this defense. Hell, I would even be good swinging our third to a team in front of us to move up to get him if necessary.

no more small school offensive lineman. I hope gman has learned by now that guys like Norwell/Turner that played against real talent > guys like Kugbila/Silatolu pancaking future car salesmen.

Troy isn't exactly a small school. I mean it's not power 5, so I get it. Our best pass rusher 2 years running is a Troy product. Demarcus Ware had caused havoc in the league for 10 years. Power 5 OL bust all the time. The jags and Rams both busted on top 10 OT from power 5. I'm not stumping for Garcia. His hands are great, but he will get ran over at his current weight

Was going to put this in the "if you were gm thread"

I really could see this scenario

1st: Fournette- bpa. Cams is the offense but the offense relys on the run game. When Stewart got hurt we stalled. Fournette is the most hyped since AP. We will hold onto Stewart (restructer) and have a nice 1 2 punch. Rivera has said he wants Cams less involved in the run game taking less hits

2nd: Antonio Garcia- thin OT class, Garcia's stock is rising. He has good upside. Still trust Oher atleast 1 more year. Garcia will be the backup but could see time if Oher gets injured or struggles into the season

3rd: Tanoh Kpassagnon- Gettleman loves this kid and he will go this high.

3rd (b): Tarell Basham or Daeshan Hall- double up on DE in the 3rd. Gettleman love his pass rushers. Addison may not return, Cj is old and contracts up, Ealy is on his last year of his contract. Huge need here.

Sorry but you can't draft anyone named Smoot to the Panthers.

    • I don't necessarily think he will be moved, I would currently be leaning against that notion. I think a lot will depend on the coaching situation. Carroll certainly can't be thinking about wanting to go through a serious strip down and overhaul, so the longer he plans to remain, the less likely I think Crosby gets moved.
    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
