With that combine performance I  doubt McCaffrey makes it past the late first playoff teams. That first pick draft system is fuged up , it always has McCafrey sliding to the second in every draft senario and that's not realistic at all. I believe we'd either get him with pick 8 (HIGHLY unlikely considering that talent pool in the top 10 picks) , or trade up into the middle or late 1st and get him  (probably trade our 2nd and our high 3rd to do so).

Definitely a fantasy draft.   I would be an amazing draft.

Now for the bomb

Adams doesn't get out of the top 5

McCaffrey doesn't make it past NE

Doubt we waste a draft pick on a WR at least day one or two

Walker  Maybe

Jones will be gone by round 2

I have seen Tapoh to us in mocks in rd 4

Nice guess round 5-7

FA: Kalil, Captain, a safety

1st: Fournette- a must even if we have to trade away our 2nd.  Dude is a freak athlete and a freight train.  Our offenses has to have to the run game to work to succeed.  We run a power run sceme,  that's what Rivera likes, that's what Shula likes, that's what gettleman likes.  Gentleman wants to build a team like those Giants championships.  LF will be his Brandon Jacobs.  As SC said, LF Stewart and Cam together will be unfair

2nd: if we don't have to trade it, trade down.

3rd: Leggett

comp: Tanoh

4th: Zay Jones or one of these slot WRs who will fall

5th: Mack Hollins

I have wondered about this scenario on occasion.  What if a player would rather play (through the draft) with a certain team over any other team and they refused to sign with any team except the one they would rather play with.  If I remember correctly that happened a few years back.  It may have been the player held out until he was traded to the team he wanted.  Am I just old and senile or is this something that could actually happen?  Enlighten me, please.  Just don't shoot me because I'm a member of the NRA.

You can sit out the entire year and re-enter the draft. That's the players only option. But, like you said, it is possible to refuse to play for a team. Since it hurts both the player and team, a trade usually occurs. John Elway and Eli Manning are prime examples.

As for trying to get to one specific team, not sure I remember something like that. It would be tougher for sure.

    • You literally did it right there and didn't even remember it. Sorry long Friday.
    • TMac to finish up Feels good after pads came on. Physicality is a little different, playstyle is a little different. Refs let the players play, so he has to earn his stripes to get calls and just has to be better playing through contact. Focusing on staying confident and listening to coaches. Not much has changed for him, still trying to be his authentic self. Was asked about boxing practice he was seen doing. He's done that since he was a kid because his dad was a boxer and taught his siblings. Was the youngest and got beat up the most, but now he's the fourth of sixth children. Boxing helps with his cardio and being reactive with his hands to the ball + DB. Admits to struggling the first couple of days, hats off to the DB corps for making him better every single day but had his best day on Wednesday. Even the best get got. Just have to remain confident in preparation and abilities. Confidence will take you only so far, and that's where his resilience plays a factor. XL is authentic and great to have in the room. Can rely on him to be the same guy every day. They make each other better. Everybody feeds off of each other and when one person wins they all win. Happy to be a part of the receiver room. Was asked about how he was laughing harder than everybody else at XL getting his feet in the water off the back of the boat: "Man he needs to be stopped bro... He can't be serious but he was serious. It's all good." Playing against the increased amount of press he's facing in practice is helping him get more physical. His job is to catch the ball, so if it touches his hand he has to come down with it. Only catches with one hand if he needs to, but that gives the QB a bigger catch radius. Had a pregame routine where he did a 360 one-handed catch, but doesn't do it anymore. Working on being a pro: Getting into the facility early and getting treatment, eating better, etc. Just wants to win re: rookie goals. Anything he can do to help the team win. "I'm looking for to the season man and keep pounding."
    • DJ Wonnum up next Felt the defense came out ready to work at all levels and took over practice. New standard around here. Young guys have to know they're coming in to work. Last year was not the standard. Nic and Princely are fun. Different personalities but loves what they bring to the room. Sky is the limit for them. Nic sits next to Wonnum, Princeley sits next to Jones II. Allows them to be better mentors. Feels great and ready to go Incoom's athleticism allows him to bend and get low even to compensate for not being the biggest guy. Can set the edge. EDGE guys are helped when the ILBs can get home because it allows them to be a little more free while still in scheme. DB being back means his dominance is back. Can set the edge from the 3 or wherever he's at to make the runs bounce to the EDGE guys. Winning mentality and standard this year. Championship level from practice to how you live off of the field. Accept greatness and excellence with guys wanting to come to work every day. Not settling for anything less. Been in guys' shoes that are fighting for roster spots so he knows how to address them. Remembers not knowing what's next, especially as a rookie. Have a clear mind and ask the older guys a lot of questions. Has a good relationship already with Pat Jones II due to knowing each other and talking football all of the time. Can make hand gestures and know immediately what to adjust. Taking care of his body and excited to start the season. Getting it acclimated to football again by being able to tackle and bring players to the ground. Didn't know they were playing live tomorrow. Don't tell me it'll be "thud." Browns next week will allow them to hit somebody else and get a feel of what a different team is doing. Also allows the team to see where they're at on offense and defense. Ready to play football. Not worried about the QB matchup for Cleveland, going to play hard regardless of who is back there.
