These guys are being signed for veritable peanuts. I'm sure that the way their contracts are structured, we'll likely not feel it if they're let go before season's beginning. That being said, they all fill some type of need, if it's nothing more than just depth.

Fozzy has been a capable change-of-pace back, Horton is probably an underrated run stopper, and Bersin...well, Bersin can catch.

I highly doubt these depth signings will have any affect on Gettleman's free agency or draft plans. They are minimal moves.

I promise a undrafted FA who is way cheaper could fill some of these roles..

I don't see a need to sign some of these guys right away..

Actually there was a report the Bills were interested in him, but that doesn't really mean anything.

If you want to keep the guy, there's zero logic for waiting till free agency starts.

  These are going to be all easy cut contracts. Plus, they are taking the place of someone making 500k on the salary cap. So we are only spending about 500K-1M, if they make the team. No one signed, except maybe Addison, has changed any plans one bit.

If a starter goes down, would you rather have a not so great depth player that doesn't know the system, or a not so great depth player that does know the system?

I'd rather have a undrafted rookie with potential that might be better if put in that situation..

And again it's not like i couldn't get this same guy after May..
