Just heard it on the NFL Network.  If Adams isn't there at #8, we might be in some trouble.

If he makes it past Chicago and New York, he's a Panther.

You guys are forgetting the chargers. They are looking for a strong safety to replace weddle. We aren't getting adams.

Think they are more interested in a rangy FS like Hooker.
Their DC is the guy who was in Seattle when the legion of boom started and he loves him some Earl Thomas

So, what happens if Fournette and Adams are available? Are we now forced to take Adams?

Damnit.

No.  While he became a VERY real possibility today, the fact that the teams above us have SS's opens the door right back up on day 2 as well, as the poster above said.

Not saying  it's not going to happen but I just have a really really hard time seeing us go safety at 8.  Especially with the possibility of there being  high quality players available in bigger areas of need or value.  If we're getting him that high he better be the second coming of Ed Reed.

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
