The Jaguars have filled all their needs except...

Bad news for those wanting to draft Fournette, the possible picks for the Jaguars came down to Adams (church), pass rusher (Campbell), Lattimore (Bouye), Hooker, and Fournette.

I know a lot of us were hoping to nab him, so this would suck, but unless they get cheeky with d-line, target ANOTHER db, or reeaaallly early OL, we are out of luck.

They released Sen'Derrick Marks, DT yesterday, and Campbell is 30 years old.  Ivory (2021), and Yeldon are under contract for multiple years.  Nothing cheeky about it, their DL still sucks.  Allen or Thomas are still the LIKELY pick(s).

Doesn't this make the likelihood of a safety being on the board higher? Adams is the number one person on my board (well, after myles) and Hooker, though not my favorite wouldn't be bad at 8 either.

Maybe Hooker but I doubt it.  Not Adams with Church.

Maybe. There is an argument that they don't need a RB. But, with Coughlin running the place, I am sure Fournette is a big bleep on the radar.

So are Allen/Thomas.  Just sucks we have to wait.

I don't know everything about Jacksonville at all.  It really depends on how they view certain players, and how they fit into their plans.

Fournette needs a power running team, which it looks like Jacksonville has.  Do they feel like he's a better player over what they have?  Do they have a bigger hole on their roster?  Jacksonville has been the team of potential, tons of high draft picks, and chronic under achievement. Why is that?

Who knows who they will pick, or who will trade up.  We know that this draft is already getting crazy with the rest of the trades going on.

    • Oh for those tired of the Mannings I have bad news, Peytons son Marshal already has college teams after him and he isn't even in HS until this fall...   I'd wager we have two Mannings in the NFL in 2030
    • Push em to the brink!!! Shut em down Freddie!
    • I tend to look at all of these guys and wonder how committed they are to doing special teams? It's a big deal when you're fighting for roster spots. And we need massive refreshes to all phases of the special teams game. And the idea that four or five of these players could see rotational use outside of special teams would be a win. This team has accumulated quite a bit of dead wood over the last five years and its time to take an axe to some of it. These new fellows have a shot to benefit from that if they can really push. That being said, wow that receivers room is crowded right now. I'm not sure if I was a vet player with more than 2 years experience other than Adam Thielen if I'd be too sure of my future here. Tet is guaranteed a spot, Coker earned his for sure and they aren't done with XL developing yet. That's only two to three spots left for the entire room. It's going to be very competitive and better for Bryce's future, too. Safety and linebacker are the opportunity spots here this season. There's room for the right guy and we may see a starter eventually from one of these UDFAs, either by merit or injury.
