Who'll Be The Jeremy Cash Of This 2016 Draft Class?

It happens nearly every year. Someone projected to go high and a solid player in the 2nd-4th rounds drops all the way down as an UDFA. While pundits attempt to direct and assume certain players going high, GMs tend to believe such wouldn't be the case.

Jeremy Cash was projected as a low 2nd rounder in many mock drafts, and a steal if he even sniffed the 4th round or below. He was expected to be drafted early and contribute. However, this was not the case, as the Panthers were able to snag him as a UDFA.

So, which prospect this year do you believe is overhyped? Who will be that one guy that drops out as a draftable player, or even one that'll drop quite a bit of rounds?

The easy answer is Joe Mixon.

I'd say Cam Robinson has the ability to fall pretty far, especially considering earlier on that people overhyped the hell out of him.

Surprisingly, the top two WRs on my board, Mike Williams and Corey Davis, both could see a slide due to nobody really needing a top WR that bad and the fact that John Ross is severely overhyped (and I think teams are gonna buy into his speed without regarding the injury risk.) Williams and Davis could both slide to the 20's or even 30's or later.

Another answer is Dalvin Cook. If Jacksonville doesn't pull a Jacksonville and take him at 4, and they pass again on him in the 2nd round, he could slide a long ways.

Also, here's another opportunity for me to plug Donald Payne. He's not on many public radars still, for whatever reasons, but he could be better than Cash if he makes it to UDFA. He won't really be considered a slider because, again, he's not on many radars. But he will be a starter at some point in the NFL.

My guess is Teez Tabor (CB) from Florida.  He ran very slow for a CB.. I think almost 4.6 in in forty.

Major documented off field issues, and rumors of failed drug test at combine.

Had multiple failed drug tests while in school, and skipped drug tests.

Has "bust" written all over him.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
