Aaron Hernandez commits suicide in prison

Doesn't the friends and family of most suicide victims claim that person would never do that? A fraternity brother of mine committed suicide during summer break when we were in college. No one had any clue anything was wrong. There were no warning signs any of us picked up on.

With that said, in this case, I don't give a poo what happened. Aaron Hernandez had lost the right to continue living as far as I'm concerned and this just saves tax payers the bill for keeping him up. Good riddance.

And honestly, I think that's what eventually caused him to take his life. A day bafore he was acquired of the double murder charges, I read an article of Aaron hernandez seeing his daughter along with his girlfriend in court and he waved and blew a kiss at his daughter as both started to tear up. I think it was at that point when hernandez realized he couldn't spend the rest of his life in prison. Again I don't feel sorry for the guy, but it's just a horrible situation all the way around and I feel for everyone involved.

I agree 100%. Aaron, seeing his daughter in court last week and knowing that was as close as he would ever get to her must have shaken his soul.

Here's a thought that I found on Reddit.  Sort of makes sense.  Obviously, no idea of it's true or not, but I could see him doing this for his daughter, I guess...

(Sorry for the screenshot.. I'm on my phone)

I'm pretty sure he's still a felon as the acquittals had nothing to do with the Odin Lloyd murder.

How can someone be sentenced to life without parole without being a felon?

as a christian i know im supposed to forgive everyone but stories like this make it tough. part of me is happy hes dead, but thats the kind of thinking a guy like hernandez would have. God help me remeber that judgement is not mine to administer and help me, and as many other people, not end up like this man.

please bless his family, too. no idea what they are going through.

I remember reading something to this point as well. It is a quirk of Massachusetts law, if you have cases in progress and die, you are technically not convicted. With the acquittals last week and his prior conviction on appeal he was not a convicted felon.

Not sure whether his family will see any of that. I would imagine that this is not the purpose of that particular law, but at least it will save money for the 50 odd years he would have been incarcerated had he not killed himself.
