Will Cam adjust to a short passing game?

What will it take for this to be something he can excel at. Hopefully the improved Oline will give him the time to be more accurate. Saying that Brady did it during the SB means nothing in the scheme of things. If Cam doesn't get his high throws under control, things may get messy. Opinions please.

Cam did not enjoy last season. He wants 2015 back. He has no choice but to work hard at this.

I never thought he had trouble overthrowing the short passes. He tends to sail the football more on the downfield passes. But still, hopefully with CmC and Samuel; along with the stanford rb roach; I see our offense evolving and bringing out some brand new plays for Cam. He will adjust if he wants to succeed.

The huddle thinks Cam doesnt do well on short throws. ie its not his game.

If you go back to 2015, Cam completed 76% of his passes behind the LOS and 64% of his passes that traveled 1-10 yards. Even last year, with Fozzy coming out of the backfield, he caught 25 of 33 attempts.

Yeah, I think Cam can adjust to the shorter passing game. This doesn't mean we're going to stop attacking down the field, hopefully it just means that we aren't so damn predictable with nearly every passing play consisting of keeping additional blockers in to help protect and then three guys running slow developing downfield routes. That's not a recipe for consistent success.

If he got time, our guys get separation, I think we're going to be fine.

Some times he gets it out too quick and rocket arms it in a short yardage situation.

Obviously Cam and the coaching staff have a plan or they wouldn't have drafted the way they did.

I don't think for a second that Cam can't be accurate on the shorter passes....what I'm worried about is his lack of practice before the start of camp/the season.

Cam has shown pinpoint accuracy in the quick passing game, especially the hurry up.

As long as our OL can keep him clean, Cam will be fine. He's the least of our worries at this point. We're still hinging our season that Matt Kalil will become a legit LT.
