Also what TD's saying doesn't vibe with Olsen basically apologizing for causing a distraction.

That's a stretch. What Olsen was specifically talking about was asking for an extension. TD didn't make any apologies for asking for his. He and Olsen were and are in step in saying that people are off base with their involvement in Gettleman's firing. That came from upstairs.

You don't understand the concept of family do you?

I understand your point about Funchess and Shepard, and you should understand mine, even if we don't agree.

Family is bigger than football, and if he chose to spend his anniversary with his wife, then so be it. He'll have plenty of opportunity to catch passes from Cam, and hang out with his QB.

He could've also made it up to his wife when he got back and celebrated the anniversary then. Especially coming from a new team. But that's me and you are you.

Your job comes first, it's how I was raised and it's how I live.

Says he had nothing to do with it.  That's exactly what someone who did have something to do with it would say.

I personally think GO and TD had little or nothing to do with DG being fired. Honestly. There are a lot bigger forces at play and that contract Trai just got was favorable to the player.

I absolutely believe both Greg and Thomas are absolutely stand up guys. Greg has hardly ever missed a game and Thomas, well he snapped his own dislocated finger back into place and tackled Marshaun Lynch.

Not to even mention their philanthropy. And yes I'm sure they both feel like they deserve a nice retirement bonus(so to speak, ain't nothing wrong with that.).

But here's the kicker, we all know they both will play. And lead.

So where does that leave us.

Someone needs to put his wife in her place, jesus.

Get better or hang with wife... seems like a no brainer

Do you have a wife?

I can assure you the wife won't let it go if you ignore your wedding anniversary at that age.

Job comes before family? No way.

    • I think they are holding back to see what they have in the young guys, but I think it's a near certainty at some point they will bring someone else in. Right now (assuming we keep 5 CBs which is normal), the top 5 IMO are: 1) Jaycee Horn 2) Mike Jackson 3) Chau Smith-Wade 4) Shemar Bartholomew  5) Akayleb Evans   Obviously Jaycee is the alpha in that room and paid as such. Need him to stay healthy and continue to play at a Pro-Bowl level. Mike Jack did pretty well all things considered last year, and they gave him lower-level starter money. Fair deal for both sides.  Smith-Wade showed some promise as a slot CB. I think low-key he's a lock for the team. Different size and skill set than the other CBs. Shemar Bartholomew was the most sought after waiver claim last preseason. Was 5th CB most and inactive most of last year. Had a few defensive and ST snaps. Nothing of note good or bad but too small a sample size to make any judgment. Akayleb Evans was a 2022 4th Rounder for the Vikings. Has started 19 games (including Week 18 for the Panthers) in his career and played in 43. Was pretty good in 2023 before getting injured and falling down the depth chart last year. There's some other guys on the outside looking in, but until they show more in training camp I dont see anyway they make the 53. And only Jaycee, Mike Jack, and Smith-Wade are locks to make this roster IMO.
    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
