I'll say this about Ben Boulware

Really looking forward to seeing him get lots of play time during the preseason games. I'm not sure there is a roster spot for him right now, but hopefully I'm wrong.

When preseason starts he's practicing for 31 other teams.  We have damn good LB thru 6 so it's hard to stash a talented guy on PS. Hate to lose him but best wishes if he doesn't make 53

Love the effort. No way you can question it. The question is whether he has the talent to go along with it. I hope he does.

We will cut him and then he will go to 10 Pro Bowls with the Patriots. It's inevitable

I only count four with Luke, TD, Shaq, and Mayo.  Everyone else is fighting for a spot.  I could see Ben winning a spot of this team.  Looking at his play with Clemson, we would be absolute fools to let him go play somewhere else.

True, but your list has 2 middle linebackers. Puts Ben at a disadvantage.

Shaq and TD need a backup.  I think last year Jeremy Cash played a role there, but there's talk about moving him to safety.  Whether they do that or not, I personally don't think it would matter.  I would put Cash and Boulware on an even playing field for the back up position. (Of course Cash has shown to be a good special teams player)

MLB and OLB are very different positions, as evidenced by watching Luke and Beason both be quite mediocre at OLB. Will be interesting to see how they use Boulware in the preseason but he seems like much more of a true MLB than anything else.

Good to hear.

Seems like we're pretty close to set with Luke, TD, Shaq, Mayo and then I think Norris & Cash are winning the battle for #5 & #6.  Keeping 7 LBs is not out of question, however, as last year showed, and if we're in good shape at safety & corner.  So while I think Boulware is likely headed for the PS, we could possibly keep him at #7 if he has special teams value.

I am really hoping (expecting) him and Armah to show out on ST this pre-season. They both seem to know that's their best route to the roster.

    • We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy
    • similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.
    • So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
