if it happens it won't be because we lost a competition with fitter species, it'll be because human technology outpaced collective human foresight. or maybe more interestingly human thoughtlessness may outpace the technological ability to live on other planets and exist off the earth before it goes to complete poo

Does that mean that aliens will conquer the world? LOL, kidding aside I believe that everything will come to an end. I honestly hate reading this type of stuff but it is possible. Let's just try to live our lives to the fullest.

If the internet goes out for a bit, people lose their minds.

If the threat of snow approaches in the south, people raid grocery stores.
