I look at this as nothing but good news for the Panthers. Less money to spend on defense and as our outdated RB contracts come off the books (and being replaced by a rookie contract) we can spend money where needed to bolster our division-best defense.

Freeman is 25, really not bad of a contract for what he brings to the table for them

I will politely disagree.  While he is okay, he was meh before their line got their current Center.

Well he averaged more yards per carry and had more total yards in 16 than in 15 and 14
