Right so if CMC does not out produce Reggie Bush then ya'll need to chill.

I'm not a person to make outright predictions and guarantee he will be the next great rb, but he has the potential. He has a floor that I think is above the likes of a Danny Woodhead and yes the potential to be the next Marshall Faulk. His skill set transfers much better than Reggie Bush who was not as good route runner or the vision to see holes develop. His athleticism wowed us, but his craft and vision did not transpire until later in his career which was too late.

MArshall had 1200 yards rushing and 11 TDs his rookie season. with 522 yards REC. CMC would be lucky to even sniff those numbers.

Danny woodheads best rushing year was about 547 yards.

Look at you calling in for back up. Get out of your feelings

"Get out of your feelings" hahahah. Ok guy. You are literally in every thread spewing uncontrolled hate for CMC and completely writing him off before he's even taken a meaningful snap. So which one of us is REALLY in their feelings? Does he have you that upset? A quick scroll through your twitter page leads me to believe he does.

You do realize that success for CMC = success for this team, correct?

CMC will probably avg 65 yards rushing and 40 yards receiving. He will not win rookie of the year. He probably won't even make a single probowl in his career. He is not better than reggie bush and has lower ceiling than Bush talent wise.

those are great numbers, way better than what Bush did in the pro's and unless someone else has a phenomenal year, thats an easy ROY and possibly a pro bowl same season.

Based on your own assumptions as you speak with such certainty when its pretty obvious you dont understand the game that well, but at 65/ryg and 40/ryg thats 1040 rush yards and 640 receiving yards. Thats pretty outlandish to predict especially when you claim he isnt very good but thats all you think he will get as a split back while Marshall was the number one back there in Indy would be one of the best rookie performances of all time.

Yeah. I don't think he thought about that one. He won't sniff it but here's my numbers showing he does exactly that.

I wanted Fournette, but I'd bet on CMC based on their respective situations. The Jags are probably going to be awful and Bortles is a scrub. Opposing defenses will be keying on Fournette and trying to force Bortles to beat them throwing the ball. Fournette will be diving into stacked boxes over and over again just like at LSU except now it'll be NFL defenses instead of NCAA defenses. He's probably going to have a tough go of it.

You are a CMC homer. We cant take anything you say seriously because of your man crush. Starting to think you are probably bi-sexual. You sound like a domesticated dog when you defend him.

Cut out the insults, both of you.

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
