When is enough enough

We said we need a Oline, we went out and got one. Our 3 in the middle are great and we are drafting and signing players to fill the other needs on the line.

We said we need weapons for Cam. We draft KB, CMC, Samuel, Funchess. Stew is still a powerhouse back.

We said we need speed so we get Samuel, CMC.

How many more things do we "need' for this offense to be good? At this point it feels like a cop out and we should be in position to light up the scoreboard.

Is it Cam? Is his rust really that bad? He's made some bad passes but that shouldn't ruin a strong run game.

This is why I think it's Shula. We have time and again had all these excuses for our offense not performing but at the end of the day what's one of the things that hasn't changed or added to this team. Again it's Shula, he maybe a scapegoat but honestly no matter what we do with personnel we still struggle. How much more times do we have to say "we need a LT, we need a #1 WR, we need speed" till it hits home that no matter who we add if we are running Shula's offense we aren't great.

Cam's biggest problem to me is he is always trying to make a play. That's why he takes those sacks on 3rd and long sometimes that just infuriates you. He is trying to make too big a play when sometime you just need to take what the defense gives you. Living to punt some times is not the end of the world especially with the defense we have.

Repost this in the fire Shula thread.

Take away Cams ability to threaten a defense with his legs and you severely limit his ability.

He's not a pocket passer. Can he stand back there and make some throws, sure. But, he needs to use his legs to make plays. He needs to do that for no other reason than it gets him and the team a huge boost of energy.

I have no clue why this coaching staff can't have him rolling out and making throws. It's moronic.

Overreactions by fans that just like to bitch n moan..

we just played are former defensive coordinator who literally knows our personnel the best out of 30 other teams..

What about the other 4 years? No, what about his whole career? Why is it that everywhere he goes, mediocrity follows?

Hmmm...2015....Top scoring team in the league....Carolina, 500 points.  No accident Cam played like a rock star and was league MVP.  Our offense goes as Cam goes.  Last year Cam played poorly, so far this year he's playing poorly.  If he can at least hit the door of the barn in coming weeks our offense will pick up steam.  Olsen going down isn't gonna help either.

That definitely explains the wasted TOs like we had in the first game and every other game of Shulas career.

That definitely explains the stupid play calling in the redzone like this game, last game and every other game of Shulas career.

Life really is easy for the mentally deplete it seems.

Wasn't Shula our OC when we went to the Super Bowl,  And then won 3 divisional titles in a row.  Or does he just get cedit for the bad stuff??? 15-1 and don't blame the SB loss on Shula.  That was refs and the fact that the WR's couldn't catch a fugging cold.

John Fox was a SB HC twice. Lets hire him 2 > 1.

Or smart people realize the limitations of coaches and dumb people accept whatever life gives them and just settles without thinking above what's in front of them at the time it's in front of them.

I'm so glad that fans are starting to sound off about shula.

Starting to?  If there's one thing the huddle does well it's butch about Shula year in and year out.  I agree though, today's second half playbook was border line moronic.  I didn't see all the doom and gloom though.  Cam missed must must make throws, but we know he can be better and today was an improvement from last week.  He will always be good for an overthrow or two, I don't see that changing.

    • This thread is turning into bizarro world. Most of the anti-Bryce crowd was heavily pro CJ Stroud so I am confused how that ties into any racial element.  Not saying we still don't have some of that crowd in here but it's not like the Prime Cam years where this place was rife with those types.  The anti-Bryce sentiment SEEMS to MOSTLY be rooted in his underwhelming physical stature/abilities and/or his underwhelming overall career to date. All this being amplified by the massive trade haul we gave away for him. So, technically we have missed the opportunity to draft Jaden Daniels AND passed on CJ Stroud. Fairly or not, Bryce hasn't measured up to those type of players at all.
    • Because 2 coaches have not allowed him to do it.  And in a real Hail Mary scenario the throw is  further than the clip shown and likey doesn’t allow a clean setup. You can’t go over the top.  So you have to let WRs get downfield and the technical throw is going to be further and as you have to drop back to by time and likely won’t have an ideal setup.
    • I can’t stand silent any longer.. He has s sickness.  It will defy any logic people try to bring.  He tried to deny us the freedom of having a negative opinion of a player simply by the color of our skin. Yet we have positive opinions of many black players  Love some of them   I guess they must be house *you know the word* if we like them   I bring it to this: let’s say you are black. are there black people that you don’t like? I brt there are.  But no white people are allowed to dislike them? Because they are maybe shitty people of shitty players or there is just something about them you don’t line. We have to drop this way of thinking.
