Was I surprised that we were actually considering drafting McCaffrey  that high? Yes.

Did I warm up to the idea after drinking the "evolution" Kool-Aid? Yeah, but reluctantly.

I won't root against panthers players but I can say I told y'all so on this one if he doesn't work out.

Don't get me wrong, if he doesn't work out I won't be happy about it, and I truely hope he does turn into what everyone thinks he will.

I think it's a combination of poor play design and iffy OL play.

Against Buffalo it continually looked like the way we were using CMC almost immediately worked to the defenders advantage more often than not. That's not even mentioning the fact that we could barely get the play call in without having to burn a timeout. We used a timeout barely 5 minutes into the first quarter.

That's pretty reasonable. Solid body of work is somewhere between 2-3 years. Would like to see how he does if he puts on more weight, starts getting more carries, if stew gets hurt, if some other major offense player gets hurt, if coaching staff changes, etc. I think we need at least half a season to see if he has potential to be feature player in our offense and 2-3 years to decide weather he's worth sticking with for the long term.

Cam isn't Cam right now and that influences defensive schemes.   

When Cam gets healthier and gets more consistent....CMC will then get better.  

For the record I don't think CMC has been playing poorly.  Buffalo had a great front, has McD and could slant toward the run and Cam's weaknesses.  

Gurantee CMC goes for 100+ total yards this week. 

People are overreacting that CMC isn't a HOF two weeks into his career with teams clearly already gameplanning around him

Too early for this discussion, I was against a running back in the 1st barring it being fournette, not much drop off in talent after him. If anything he's making the opposing d account for him which allows our other guys some opportunities.
