Funchess Crow... I Want It All, and I Want It Now!

For a fan that has taken great pride in my layman's ability to evaluate talent from afar (especially my crown jewel - predicting Cam and Luke months before they happened), I have to admit...  i think it's safe to now say, I was wrong about Funchess.  I have been an imbecile.  I'm an idiot.  I was wrong, wrong, wrong.  He has seemed to turn the corner and I'm here to eat my crow.  Serve it up, please.

All Funchess needed to do was realize he was 6'4 225 lbs. He is finally playing to his size. That one catch on 3rd down where he boxed out the CB and snagged a ball thrown behind him was a man's play. Can you believe he is STILL ONLY 23?!?! He's younger than KB. He's not even close to his ceiling yet. Hopefully he keeps it up.

So many forget the guy was only 21 when he was drafted with 1 year as a WR. From those of us who always had confidence and tolerated the premature hate, may your crow be delicious.

He hasn't been lighting the world on fire but has definitely been improving and has had a solid season so far. I think if we didn't have an offense that spreads the ball around so much right now that he'd be doing even better. Does seem like KB and Funch are now the 1a and 1b receivers instead of 1 and 2.

funchess is obviously the better WR between he and benjamin and has been running uncovered for the better part of a season, dating back to last year.

I was also on the doubt Funchess train, but he's balled the last couple of weeks with some clutch catches, also Ed Dickson wow!!

Not too long ago the idea that receivers took 3 years to develop was a very common concept in the NFL.

This is something similar to what my ex gf would say if u replaced the word "crow" with "cock". Theyre both still birds however so i suppose its all the same.

3. And no not necessarily. His yards per reception leaves a lot to be desired and hasn't topped 70 yet. He's had some great clutch catches for first downs and TDs for sure and is definitely improving in consistency but no he hasn't been lighting the world on fire.

Well to be fair there wasn’t much evidence he would turn it on like this, so many of us were down on him. Anybody can pick some young guys and say they’re going to break out and decent chance they’ll hit at some point. But kudos to Funchess for being that one that actually pans out so far. He really has turned it on these past two games. He’s been playing with serious determination. Hope he keeps it up. If so I’ll prepare a crow smorgasbord.

He had a very promising end to his rookie year and last year Cam never ever looked his way despite being open so I wouldn't say that this is all that surprising.
