Good game guys

That was..... just ugh. lol.

Not at all the way I thought it was going to go down. I figured the final score would be close, but because the game was close. Carolina had complete control from start to finish. In a strange flashback to 2016, Detroit once again forgot that TE was in fact, an NFL position that exists, and requires attention. We had concerns that the o-line would have a bad day, and in hindsight, I would have welcomed a mere "bad" day. Stafford did what he could, but good grief. They almost killed him out there.

Trying to stay positive. I guess the run defense was good, and Davis had a good day. Stafford did some good things at the end, but had no time to think.

You guys have a really good team, should have a hell of a season. Been a fun week chatting with you guys. Good luck going forward.

I like your team, no issues with you guys whatsoever. Wish that the league didn't f*ck you out of that Atlanta game but whatever. You guys should be solid the rest of the year and will likely be in the running for your division near the end, if not the clear leader. I like watching Stafford late in games, have his entire career. And the kid at linebacker Davis is a joy to watch. He reminds me a bit of Beason in his prime.

    • A team should always be putting at least one or two draft picks in at tackle and guard each season. Those guys just don't last nearly long enough and those that do get very, very expensive. In our situation, we need a little more time to see what the Icky injury works itself out to. Njiman performed really well out there and if this injury lingers into the next season, then he might do well enough there to hold the line for the team. Or we could draft early if there is a stud LOT in the draft when our spot comes along.  Honestly, we may be looking at replacing both LT and RT this season at this point. Moton is getting long in the tooth and while he deserves a shot to go for a playoff run with this team, I don't know whether we will really see him come back next season yet. It's still so darned early in all of this to say.
    • Because we had a ton of things go our way this year and made the playoffs with a -70 point differential.  This year was the outlier.  Regression to the mean is unavoidable.  So the team will have to significantly improve to beat 8 wins next year.
    • One thing I noticed in this game (and I say this as the biggest of Bryce Young haters) is that Bryce did do a solid job of throwing into voids in this game, and leading receivers on crossers.  There were a few times where I was thinking "where the hell is he throwing it" only for a receiver to appear out of nowhere and catch it in stride.  Mike McDaniel might be a guy that can squeeze a little bit of production out of the otherwise ghastly Bryce Young. His offenses heavily feature that style of passing game.  I've heard Idzik is drawing interest from other teams.  If so, bringing McDaniel in at OC would be a stellar move.  I know it'll never happen, but fun to think about.
