Lets talk Tampa

The panthers have won one division game in the last seven tries (last year against the saints on Thursday night).  The last road division win came at New Orleans in December of 2015 (man that was such a satisfying win against Brees). We are long overdue for a division win and need a get right game.

Yeah, the Chicago game was awful and ripped optimism and hope from the fan base, but it’s time to look ahead.  The team is 4-3, very much in contention for every seed in the NFC (sans maybe the one seed with what the eagles are doing).  The panthers have to get right in Tampa.  New Orleans should boat race Chicago in New Orleans, so the panthers need to stay on their heels

Tampa is an enigma.  On paper they should be a top ten team, but injuries have wreaked havoc on that defense and Jameis is still inconsistent.

Tampa is 2-4, their season is hanging in the balance. To say they will be desperate for a win is an understatement. They are 2-1 at home with a blowout of Chicago, a narrow victory over the Giants and a loss to NE in which they probably should have won (had they had a competent kicker).

Simply put, I think this game comes down to the turnover battle. We have only forced four turnovers on defense. That is completely unacceptable for this team. The offense clearly isn’t consistently capable of driving the field and scoring touchdowns so our defense is going to need to provide some Short fields.  Pressure Jameis and the corners need to be ready to take some chances.  It’s far past time for Bradberry to show some ball skills and for Worley to show some fight

On offense, we absolutely can not turn the ball over. Doug Martin, Desean Jackson, Cameron Brate, Mike Evans, and OJ Howard on a short field will be a big big problem.

If we turn the ball over on our side of the field, we very well may get the doors blown off us.

Thoughts on this game and how you see it playing out?

I’ve been to the future. The Panthers lose a miserable lazy game to the Bucs where they beat themselves. Ron Rivera’s expression doesn’t change the whole game. Cam gives up at halftime and sports another ridiculous outfit at the postgame press conference. The Fire Mike Shula banner gets funding for the Atlanta game but Jerry Richardson shoots it down with Bojangles Cajun filet chicken biscuits before it reaches the stadium. Luke Kuechly retires at the end of the season. Panthers fans burn down the stadium. Franchise over.

Knowing this team they show out and beat the Buccs, win a nail biter at home against Atlanta - then everyone feels hopeful again, then finally the Dolphins smite the Panthers on MNF and the fans hopes are crushed again.

Sounds about right only the dolphins do the smiting with Matt Moore at QB. Losses to a John Fox coached team and a team led by Matt Moore at qb in a span of four weeks....yikes.

Pretty much the same as you.  But expecting the worst possible outcome for us.  I don't see any fight left in this offense.  Expecting the defense alone to carry the team is a foolish fantasy.  It could get ugly quick.

it kind of takes the fun out of it when not just the defense, but pretty much everybody in the country knows what you are going to do most downs, esp. on first and that it's going to be things you aren't doing well.

Playing like Chicago we would get beat by anyone, I mean Browns Indy Giants. We should be fighting for the number 1 pick and a new coaching staff.

Playing like we did with the Patriots and Lions, we could beat anyone,...

so WTF,....  don't know what to expect.
