Going back to those gurus in my household saying you’re putting too much on [McCaffrey], he’s just a rookie. But when the guy’s touched and he’s blessed, you’ve just got to give him the ball and step back and just be in awe. Whether it’s in the run game, the pass game, I’m a proponent of seeing how much he can digest before we ease off of him because when the ball’s in his hands, that’s a good thing for us as an offense.

What a great thing to say about a rookie.  He knows the value of CMC and I was very impressed with his showing today.   Hopefully, with the loss of KB things will open up some more and teams will be less likely to stack the box as much.  He has such a great ability to make people miss and before the season is over he is going to break one.

BTW, Samuel is going to get more touches and make a good showing going down the stretch.

    • I don't think working from memory is going to be very productive or useful. You would need to compare them all, which is far easier to do from the breakdowns of each game. That has tiered charts that give real data.  But, even then that wouldn't substitute for a trained eye(s) doing detailed film analysis to attempt to determine if we are modifying the offense dramatically for Bryce.
    • I think front office and general team culture under new ownership is sort of on the right track. The rookies all look incredible compared to where you'd expect each one of them to be right now. Lee's in game coaching is awful, he might be ok as a culture and developmental guy but that can't outweigh the in-game miscues and bad game plans. If LaMelo can't figure out the ankles then I think you gotta trade him for a haul, can't keep having your seasons lost every year because he can't stay on the court. And I say that as a big fan of him. Miller I think is unlucky, he looks likely to be an elite core player for us, but if he can't put together a stretch of healthy seasons he would trend towards LaMelo and need to be moved. I used to like Miles on the court a lot more but nowadays he's just an empty stat guy who needs to go. The short lived hot start to the season was fun but unless LaMelo and Miller both get and stay healthy within the next few weeks I can't even see us being a play-in team this year. And even if they do get healthy, we're probably looking at play-in at best, maybe barely compete for that fringe 6th seed.
