Just from talking to other NFL fans, and looking at different media sources and networks, no one seems to be giving us a shot to be N.O. or Minnesota? ESPN matchup predictor has the Saints at a whopping 70 percent chance to win the game, damn. Which got me to wondering, whats your final schedule prediction now that we're about 3/4 through the season and basically in the home stretch? You think we have a shot to actually take down both Saints and Vikings? We're going into the most difficult part of the season with Falcons on the rise and these 2 games against division leaders in a row.

My personal point, my god we've been inconsistent this season. I think we will win one and lose one in the next couple weeks. We'll probably defy expectations and pull out a close win against the Saints, and Digs and Thielen will torch the hell out of us and we lose to the Vikings. I have us winning the rest though, and going 12-4.

I'm thinking the Saints go on a slide. We beat them Sunday , and they could potentially drop both games to the Falcons. That has them finishing at 10-6 and us at 11-5.

Falcons are heating up and starting to roll. I have them with a suprise win against the Vikings on Sunday, and I have them winning out until they lose the last game against us at their new Stadium. 11-5 Finish.

So my final NFC South Predictions are

Panthers 12-4

Falcons 11-5

Saints 10-6

Bucs 5-11

Good LORD Ladies and Gentleman. This means we have THREE huge games and two of them are divisional. We can't sleep on the last game of the season considering Falcons have a better NFC record than us, they could actually steal first place if they win out and beat us in the final game.

People talk about luck and how terrible we are but we have had one of the hardest schedules in the NFL. We beat the Patriots at home, we beat the Jets at home, we have won games we shouldn't have, and we have done this with a unhealthy team. Keep doubting and we will keep winning.

I am more worried about the Vikings than the Saints.  Dont get me wrong both can beat us or we can beat both, but they have just seemed to have our number in the last 6-7 years.  If we could beat NO we could almost afford to drop the Minn game and still get the division.  Of course we need to win all so we can get a bye.

I want to be optimistic, but its hard to believe 12-4 will happen.

1. We have the toughest remaining schedule in the NFC South. With the exception of the Bucs, we play four teams with a combined 29-15 record

2. As of late, our secondary has been giving up big, BIG plays - the last three games, they've allowed 16 plays of 20+ yards or more (would have been 21 if Julio didn't drop the TD)

3. A-Rod will most likely be back for the Packers game

4. The extent of Newton's thumb injury is unknown...hopefully Sunday's performance is not indicative of things to come

But, with that said....11-5 or 10-6 will probably still get us a playoff spot.

If we cant get up for the division next week, we don't deserve to get in. We are also DUE against the vikes, that have rolled us a few times recently. Not worried about Tampa, and we are better than GB even with Rogders. The Atl game will be a dogfight also. Im in the 12-4, 11-5 range. Everyone frets about last week but we all know how we are after bye's. Before that, we were playing consistently, we are on a 4 game winning streak btw, that's consistency.

    • This play was never designed to go to either DJ or Odunze. The primary read is Burden who is stymied early, with the outlet being Kmet if Caleb doesn't like the option for Burden. Given the situation it's pretty obvious the simple play is to take the free yards with Kmet, or if you want to be aggressive just wait a beat longer for Burden to uncover on his double move. If Moore was ever going to be a viable target in this play then Caleb should have started out reading Odunze to hold the safety in the middle and then coming to Moore, but because he started the snap staring down the right and then came back to the middle late it made it where the safety's leverage remained to the outside of Moore, so he would never have imagined that pass actually being thrown to him in that situation. Realistically DJ's best option in that context is to just occupy the safety to leave a hole open for Caleb to get it to Burden, which is probably why he throttles down vs carrying the safety across.
    • Even with Sonny Styles still on the board I thought it's a no brainer to address the Oline after Icky's injury.  And how can you pass up Fano at 19 given our situation. Then the rest of the draft just kind of made sense with maybe the exception of Klubnik.  But if Canales can fix him and Young goes down. . .I think it's a solid pick. What do you think of this draft?
    • When we didn't trade him to the Rams or the Bears (I believe the Bears said they would take one of Brown/ Burns/DJ Moore) we should have just signed him and kept him.  We should have traded him to the Rams obviously and we should have kept DJ and traded Burns.  We made all three wrong choices with Burns lol.
