I’m looking for younger faster quicker stronger versions of stew, TD, Olson, Pep, Adams, Coleman, Kalil

focusing on more pass rush and more speed

the only way I give up a first rounder is for a second or third yr superstar

I might have considered giving up a 1st for JJ Watt or Eric Berry this offseason.  And I bet they would have taken it with their salaries, injury histories and no 2018 1st rounders.  But after the hurricane Watt’s never leaving Houston, and the Achilles with Berry makes me leery.

I think we've had 800 threads proposing this trade offer since 2013. I thought that surely after he's been out of the league for almost three years that this would be the end of them, but lo and behold the guy is able to play in 2 consecutive games and catches 7 whole passes before the idea circles back again.

Not a chance!  Now,  we do have an extra third round pick, do we not?

Kelvin Benjamin is but a memory who gave us two solid seasons, but we live on, and we've proven that we could win without him, so what did we really lose?  So if we can turn an injury risk into a pot risk, but with an infinitely higher skill set,  I'd say, "Let's do it for a third and we got a deal!"

Giving up the extra 3rd and swap out KB for Gordon is a no brainer from a talent prospective.

That's  what happens when a guy has likely top five talent.

Yeah,  even though he got on my last nerve trying to tell me that Jamison Crowder is greater than Jarvis Landry (to the point of disrespect), and tried to sell me how Russell Shepard was the best thing since sliced bread,  I unblocked him.

indeed, thats not too bad. once you start getting into the mid rounds the draft is even more of a crapshoot anyways

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
