Pretty much this.  Richardson stayed out of running the team for the most part.  People will miss him if we end up with someone terrible like Jimmy Haslam.

This is my worry. I just hope the new owner wants to win a SB and isn’t in it just to make more money. Can’t imagine anything worse than rooting for a team that just mails it in every year.

Anyone under contract is signed with the Panthers, not Richardson. So they are safer than the general FO staff.

I'm sure they'd have to get a group together and get financing, kind of like Jeter did to buy the Marlins. I'd guess in the neighborhood of $1.5 billion.

If memory serves, didn’t Mark Cuban have an interest in getting a NFL team? He’s an abrasive loudmouth, but he absolutely would be in it to win a championship. And he has the dough to spend.
