How the flying fug is Cam not in the MVP discussion

Recommended Posts

Quick recap:

-Outdueled Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan in shootouts

-Put 31 on the best defense in the league in the Vikings including a 60 yard run to essentially win the game

-#1 receiver traded midseason

-#2 receiver on IR

-All pro tight end on IR until December

-Arguably has the worst LT in the league

-Hands down has the worst receiving corps in the league

-His 2 running backs barely have a combined 1,000 yards through 15 games

-Secondary is by far the worst in the league and consistently forces him to either ice or win the game several times in the 4th quarter

-This team is 11-4, yes ELEVEN AND FOUR playing in the hardest division in football and playing against the tough NFC North and at New England this year

Anything else I missed?

Cam doesn’t play for the Steelers, Patriots, Packers or Cowboys so he has to do twice as much as them, and our team has to go 15-1 and blow out the best NFC teams just to be in the conversation.

thats not what the MVP is supposed to be judged on but this is the NFL, not for low life’s league.

just the truth.

to me he is— John Madden said the MVP is the guy that you win because of, that you take off a playoff team and they go 4-6 wins at the most without.

in today’s NFL though, you have to be on the most popular teams and have to make all the fantasy nerd happy because they only know their video games—- but they are not football fans or fans of any team.

neither is the NFL, it’s just about keeping the nerds happy.

just see the Buffalo Kelvin TD overturn for any questions on the subject,... even the former referees that always side with the league ditched them on this one.

Gurley has consistently been nothing short of spectacular this year. Take him away and the Rams are not even close to the same team. Cam has been consistently inconsistent. I cant argue with Gurley getting mvp this year.

    • They still make all the major personale decisions during the off-season. Especially during the draft and early free agency.
    • Fine.  It's his 3rd season which makes his progress and mental fortitude even more impressive after overcoming one of the worst situations to be in starting your NFL career. If the hard takes on Bryce were not filled with so much hyperbole, assumptions and outright lies it wouldn't annoy me so much. Bryce can't throw downfield. He threw it fine downfield to Legette on that deep shot he dropped last year. He threw it fine downfield to T-Mac sunday who proceeded to drop the pass. Bryce is too small. Boy takes a beating before we invested in the offensive line and so far he'd held up physically with no issues. Bryce is too short. The majority of his throws are over the middle which would be the most difficult routes for a shorter QB to see.  He doesn't get balls batted down more than any taller QB's. Bryce is too slow. Last year he ran for 6 TD's and 249 yards.  That ability is a real weapon. Most of the takes around here are of the "Omergaud, he suks" variety with little actual insight.  If a guy is able to play and win multiple NFL games he has to have some talent and ability and if a person continues to say there is no redeeming qualities and you can't tell me what he is good at as well as what he's bad at, then you're not being honest, realistic or genuine.  You're being a fool.
    • CSW might be the best pick of the group, and I see his ceiling as solid.  I’d say Munnerlyn is a good comp, but Munnerlyn actually was very good in his role. The more I see of Sanders, the more he feels like the new Ian Thomas.  But can’t make a definitive assessment on that until he plays with a good QB.
