Could Raleigh eventually host a Franchise?

Recommended Posts

Why Nope? Who says relocation with promise of a new stadium there isn't possible? They are the Carolina Panthers, not the Charlotte Panthers. The Hurricanes will probably move in the near future due to the lack of trying to get a legitimate team together.

No.

Raleigh is a college sports/NHL kind of town. Eventually it could be a college sports/MLS. It is NOT an NFL or Major League Baseball kind of town. If you don't see that, you're a homer and can't admit it.

Metrolina is only continuing to boom. The money is there, the market is there, the Panthers are there. Raleigh will never, let me say that again, Raleigh will never get the Panthers.

They can't even fill their NHL games, let alone a 75,000 pro stadium. The "Caniacs" haven't supported the team since the Stanley Cup years over a decade ago. I know they suck , but it's bad, they continue to have games with under-10,000 in attendance. Why would any smart businessman move the CAROLINA Panthers farther from South Carolina and out of the most populated city, largest TV market and economy in The Carolinas?!

Plain and simple; moving the Panthers to Raleigh is a pipe dream for Raleigh homers and that's it.

    • Watching Florida dominate other teams makes me feel better about the Canes, it's not a Canes problem , it's a Florida problem  Florida is just simply miles ahead of the rest of the league, they dominated Edmenton and Toronto the same way they dominated us, we are in the prime Brady/Bellicheck Patriots era, except it's Murice/Bobvroski Panthers era  And just think, it wasn't that long ago when Florida was always in relocation talks, and always the bottom feeders of the southeastern conference, now they own the league To think the last decade has been dominated by 2 teams who have 70 degree winters and only encounter ice in thier freezer
    • Now let’s hope they all demand a billion dollars and go their separate ways.
    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
