I never thought Lafell sucked. I would have taken him on this team before the season started.

LaFell's an average receiver who showed zero desire to step up and be a go-to when the team needed him and he specifically said as much before the 2013 season-ending game in Atlanta. That attitude didn't jive with Gettleman/team culture and it drove his exit from Carolina moreso than his mediocrity, as we all know that mediocre receivers would have been a step up from the crew in 2014.

He's had limited opportunities - but he's got a 29 yard rush, a couple of decent catches down the field, and didn't he return a kick for a TD?  Those are actual big plays. 

The danger he presents to other teams is his potential for a big play.  Dude is fast.  Lafell worried no one.  I guarantee our opponents will show a lot more respect for our players than you do.

Agree - If only they would have invested a high pick in the draft this past year and developed other speedy options on our practice squad.
