There are still two All-Pro teams left to be announced: the Sporting News All-Pro team (voted on by players, coaches, and executives) and the PFWA All-Pro team (voted on by members of the Pro Football Writers Association). Both of these are official All-Pro teams as well.

 

it's a VERY good thing we have Daryl under contract next year, but after that, can you imagine what we'll have to pay a second team All Pro offensive tackle?

Lol last time I said he was trash was a long time ago. Williams significantly improved over the course of this season and validated my offseason prediction of him being good.

Pretty sure during the beginning-middle of the Season you basically said Turner was the reason he was doing well, and he wasn't good.

In the middle of the season (after the Bears game) he made his thread talking about how Williams has only looked good because he gets among the most help out of tackles and that Turner was a big reason for his success. I believe he said something along the lines of “if he was left on an island by himself, he’d make Matt Kalil look like an All-Pro”. Pretty ironic now....he must have had a MONSTER second half of the season to have went from absolutely terrible to second team All-Pro.

I mean...we’re talking about a guy who makes threads like “Trai Turner absolutely DEMOLISHES ________ with a MONSTER pancake block!!!” and proceeds to show a GIF of the d-lineman tripping over his own feet. Or a thread like “Amini Silatolu gets embarrassingly MANHANDLED like a little ragdoll” and then shows a GIF of him getting illegally blindsided by Vic Beasley, charging in at full speed from the other direction. I think it’s pretty safe to say that he doesn’t know the first thing about o-line play.

I really do think Norwell’s contract will be a priority this spring. See some panic among the fan base that it won’t be, but he’s proved his value here and FO knows that.

So we've had 3 all-pro linemen on the team this year and our running game and passing game still struggled. This should be a huge sign to the coaches and FO to improve our WRs next offseason and should also make Shula's seat at least a little warm.

   I’ve been pounding the table for table for Whitworth for years. And said many times before FA that he should be option A,B and C. I never thought Kalil would be a serious option for anything more than a backup and competition for Williams. I never thought any team would put him at LT again unless it was due to injuries. We are going to wind up paying him more than Whitworth., with much worse cap hits. And Whitworth will probably play at a top 10 level(at worst) for two more years. 

 DG, Rivera, Matsko, Cam and whoever else it took should have been at his house at 12:01 AM when FA opened. Think of all the issues that would be reversed if we had gone this direction.
