Why Does the League, and Seemingly the World Hate Us?

I hate to play the victim, but it really can't be overlooked anymore.  Why Does the NFL always shaft us in the biggest spots?  Why don't we ever get questionable calls in our favor when it matters most, instead of them going against us?  2013 playoffs against the Niners, SB50, and yesterday...  all had egregious errors in officiating that essentially took the game out of our hands.  Throw in all of 2016's head hunting on Cam and the continued blind eye the officials turn to any excessive hit on Cam despite numerous players and teams openly stating their plan to stop him is to rough him up and injure him.

As if all of that isn't insulting enough, I get a notification on my phone today from Google Newsstand notifying me of Panthers news and the headline I see from a national news publication is, "Panthers should face steep penalty for handling of concussion protocol."  It's from the New York Daily News, and I'm not linking it because I don't want to give them traffic.

Are you fuging serious?

Did the idiot that wrote that article even watch the game?  How about we talk about the hit that put Cam in that position.  Let that had been a "traditional" QB taking that hit and that's an automatic 15 yard penalty for unnecessary roughness.  But, aside from that, Cam never appeared unconscious or out of his faculties.  Meanwhile, I've watched countless NFL games where players took equally hard and blatantly illegal hits and they weren't given a second thought- the Iloka on Antonio Brown hit earlier this season comes to mind.  No one demanded AB be taken out of the game.  No one demanded the Steelers be punished for not giving him more medical attention.  But, when it is us, we must be punished.

It feels like fake concern.  I don't think the outcry is over Cam's well-being and safety, it is more like they know he is our only hope of winning and they want to stomp that out and extinguish any possible hope we have left.  They want less opportunities for him to be seen.  They want him sidelined so they don't have to watch him smile or dance.  OR WIN.  How dare we try to win?  How dare we do what every other team in the league does with its best players?  And again, if the concern is real, where is the outcry for protecting him from these hits to begin with, especially when he is still in the pocket.  Where is the national outrage at trash ass cam (lower-case "c") jordan (lower-case "j") publicly gloating over the injury, making light of an injury, and admitting they were hoping to knock Cam out of the game?  Where are the player safety advocates' outrage on that?  Why aren't they demanding jordan to be disciplined?  Because that's not what they want.  They want Cam off the field and us out of sight.

Cam's health is my first priority, but again, he did not appear to be woozy or demonstrate any signs of a concussion other than being slow to get up initially.  I'm just so sick of this fake concern when their end game is really getting Cam off the field or getting us punished because of their dislike for him and our team...  not genuine concern for Cam.  So, it wasn't enough that the NFL robbed us of a fair chance to win the game with a bogus call, but then national media has to pile on and grab their pitchforks in demand of us being punished on top of having a game being stolen from us?  fug that.

fug the NFL.  And fug national media.  I sincerely hope we get a cut-throat owner in here who will take that fuging shitty ass shield off of our field and will talk that poo when need be, LIKE RIGHT NOW.  An owner that won't put the league over our team, or feels like he owes the league a favor.  An owner that doesn't feel indebted to those punk ass suits who have stolen multiple seasons from us now.  An owner that believes in an eye for an eye and standing up for your teammate, no matter the cost because he knows the league will continue to let opponents head hunt our franchise QB.  An owner that won't go quietly into the night when his team is done wrong. /rant

Because you’re a glass half empty kind of guy?

So, you think we've been treated fairly and equally?  Cam gets treated fairly and equally compared to every other QB in the league?  You think officials and the public genuinely care about his well-being and health?  You think the league and their officials treat him like a future hall of famer and former MVP?

I'm fairly certain this isn't about perception.  The league shits on us constantly.

This loss sucks but ultimately it was the teams fault. You can’t settle for FGs in the playoffs.

We need to get better at theskills positions  on both sides of the field.

Offense: RB, TE, C, WR

Defense: FS, SS, DE

So,  you're happy at corner?  Do tell!

    • It's funny how the teams with the great QBs stay at or near the top of the league every season.  Yes it is a team game, but the QB has the biggest impact in most NFL football games.
    • Look, no one is ever a perfect player.  Since the QB handles the ball on 100% of plays offensively (unless there's a direct snap to a RB or something), I can absolutely see where they get an outsized blame and gain from what happens at any given snap of a football game.   Theoretically, there shouldn't even be a stat or idea to a 4th quarter comeback or game winning drive because you should already have done that during the game.  Losers!  Right?  Just because you win late doesn't take away the fact you tried to lose the game for your team! I'm not a fan of that opinion, but again, I'm just a moron with a keyboard.   Bryce has limited tools.  Bryce has not inspired the same level of confidence in us as Cam Newton did in year 3.  I certainly get that.  We traded a TON of assets to get Bryce, and we still suck.  (I mean, since we've lost games, we're losers right?) I completely understand that some fans are just unhappy with a limited QB and a team that isn't performing well, unless the other teams are worse losers than we are. I will say this:  Bryce will fight until the end.  Sure, he's has some real loser football.   But in close games, he's doing his best to comeback (even against a winner of prevent D). Now is it better or worse if your QB plays their best ball in the first half and sucks 2nd half so long as they finish with 300 yards, 3 TDs for your fantasy points? Who said stats are for winners anyway?  The Panthers and Bryce has a long way to go.  I'm enjoying the winning right now.  Though I do start each game thinking "how will we fug this up today?" Because it's been such a poo show in the Tepper era.  Will he prove to be a legit starting NFL QB?  Maybe not here as evidence by our record with QBs who were high draft picks.
    • Ive never liked the term game winning drives because they include games where the QB was part of or was the reason the team was behind in the first place. Ive been arguing against this stat since the Delhomme years. It should only count when the QB is out of the equation of reasons why the team fell behind in the first place and is at least half the reason why he led the last drive to give them a lead. It shouldnt count if they just hand it off most of the time and the RB is on fire and they go down and score a TD or FG.
