Bucs-Carolina 2003 12-9 win is underrated.

Came here with this on my mind. How many times do you see a blocked extra point with no time left to save the game. Plus it was against the defending champs, and we'd been mediocre/terrible for the past 6 seasons before that. That win defined the 03' Panthers, one of the best underdog stories in sports in the 2000s.

At 5:40, you'll hear the Bucs radio announcers celebrating a little early. Just makes the moment that much better.

Everybody remembers the first Panthers-Bucs game that season, but we rarely talk about the second.  That game was great too.

This was the game where Simeon Rice guaranteed victory.

At 3:45, you'll hear Warren Sapp saying their four point lead would be "enough to ice they ass".  A little over a minute later, you get to see Sapp looking at the ground in shame and defeat.

Seen my share of both, the OMFG OMFG OMFG We WON: 2018 Rose Bowl, Stafford in overtime to beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ryan beating the Bears in 12 seconds, and....um.....that whole Roddy White thing from the endzone.

The bad ones are really....really....bad though, like I NEED BLEACH AND A FUNNEL:  2018 National Championship(SACK OMG, WE'VE GOT THIS, 40 yard bomb, GIVE ME THE FUGGING BLEACH), 1st and goal twice now by the Falcons: 2012 NFCC against the 9ers, 2018 Eagles. 2012 SEC Championship against Bama and defacto National Championship(like the worst thing that could happen is the WR catch the ball....that's his FUGGING JOB).....and that whole 28-3 fugging debacle pretty much shut me down emotionally when it comes to sports.

Oh and we are also part of a named play down in shytown, Alabama.....the Prayer at Jordan Hare was a mother fugger too.

Yeah, the National Championship was glorious. I'm a Sooner fan and truly enjoyed the fact that Georgia fans felt Sooner fans pain. And that idiot DE was humbled.

I'm a Boone native and app state alum. Listening to the call as Lynch blocked that field goal against Michigan while standing in a fire code capacity and completely silent Murphy's bar room is something I'll never forget. Boone was absolute chaos afterwards.

NC State's national championship game with Jimmy V. against the five slama-jamma Houston team.   I was a kid at my aunt and uncle's house.   When the "pass" was caught and slammed home I ran all around their house looking like Jimmy V.

This is pretty much my earliest sporting memory and I have never forgot it.   Every year during fundraising for the V.  foundation I always remember it.

Appalachian State v. Michigan

X-Clown

2008 season opener

2013 comeback against New England

2013 comeback against New Orleans

2003 game against Tampa where we blocked an extra point to force overtime. That's never happened since then IIRC

App State grad and big fan.  The Michigan Game is obvious, but this one is right up there.  If you don't know the story of "The Miracle on the Mountain", check this out.  Even better, Jeffries call the shot. He told Black that if they ran that out route he had seen on film, he was going to intercept it and lateral it to him. Craziest finish I have ever seen.

Panthers Related:

X-Clown: Actually, that entire game was something special. It's worth watching just to remember all the craziness that happened.

https://youtu.be/2Pe_O8eNn5A

2008 Season Opener Last Second Win: Strangely, this one sticks out a lot. I think it was because Jake was back from Tommy John and delivered in yet another clutch moment. Gave us hope after suffering through a season of David Carr.

https://youtu.be/Yh3QKHchBXM

2015 Seahawks: A signature win against a hated opponent that made us realize that it was going to be a special season.

https://youtu.be/dymUtuAVeW8

Other:

2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: The underdog slaying the giant with a Statue of Liberty trick play and a proposal afterwards.

2010 World Cup - US vs Algeria: Kinda sad this is the best US soccer can do but I went insane nonetheless.

2007 Super Bowl: I'm not sure what was the bigger miracle, the Tyree helmet catch or witnessing the Giants make the game winning touchdown against the unstoppable Patriots.

Sports moments I got to witness in my lifetime...

- The Immaculate Reception

- The Catch by Dwight Clark

- USA Hockey's Miracle on Ice

- Kerri Strug's winning vault on one foot (Mary Lou Retton and Nadia too)

- The Music City Miracle

- Barry Sanders incredible runs

- The Red Sox breaking the curse

- The Cubs winning the World Series

- Tyson vs Hollyfield's ear

- Scott Norwood blowing the game winner

- Dorothy Hamill

- App State upsetting Michigan

- Doug Flutie's Hail Mary

- Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary(s)

- Kordell Stewart to Michael Westbrook

- The Helmet Catch by David Tyree

- Muhammad Ali

Lord, I'm old.

I saw most of those.  I would add Valvano's NC State team defeating Houston's Phi Slamma Jamma for the national championship when Lorenzo Charles made the improbable game winning shot off an air ball.
