Even more good news.

Yeah--The Rooney rule can be a bit cruel--you never know if that is the case if you are a minority. .. We need to revamp the secondary if we are going to blitz so much--we need some man CBs  and 2 S

I think Bradberry is great vs the #2, so we could be getting a solid CB soon...in a perfect world.

He did fade a bit late, but if you watched the Saints and Falcons games he actually got doubled quite a bit.  I'd love to keep him for the right price, but would rotate him in even less this year. Save him for critical situations, and to end games.  I think we asked too much of him down the stretch, and played him too many snaps when earlier in the year they used him quite a bit less.  Still great for a rotational player, and to help the young guys develop.

What a huge bandaid it would be if he comes back, even for a season. We can immediately get rid of CJ and slide Hall in for some PT. That still gives us Addison, Peppers, Horton, Cox Jr and Hall. If we keep Star, we can still slide Butler or KK to DE on occasion, and that's really not that bad of a line. Cox has shown a few flashes and maybe will continue to improve. Obviously drafting a DE is still probably in order with Horton being expendable if the draftee has a real shot at playing but Peppers returning certainly reduces the need for panic.

Pepper's will have as much impact off the field with Hall and others as a mentor as he does on the field.

We use him as needed and give him the rest he needs I think he'll last two more years.  He freaking had 11 sacks and probably could have had a couple more.   Still a beast and highly welcome back.

If he needs to take 2 or 3 days during the week to recouperate so be it.   You aren't going to teach him any more than he already knows.   As long as he studies and is prepared for Sunday.

WELCOME BACK PEP.

Could there ever be a better time to get the most athletic, raw, DEs you can find and have them learn from the GOAT for a year? Derek Barnett was a big name last year and he would have fit perfectly for us. Hoping to find someone with plenty of potential in the first or second round this year.

he faded pretty bad down the stretch. not so sure this is a good idea, as good as it may feel

but that is hurney’s MO

Eh he still had 2.5 sacks in December, but I get what you're saying. The issue was CJ got suspended and Peppers was playing more snaps than Ron/Pep probably wanted. He was eating up QBs when he was in that rotation role earlier in the year.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
