One of the most craziest things I’ve seen happen is Daryl Williams.

At the beginning of the season, he was disappointing, falling below my expectations and looking like a downgrade from Remmers. However, as time went on, he did a complete 180 and finished off the year in dominant fashion.

In a recent ranking list from NFL1000, Daryl Williams finds himself sitting as a top 3 RT in the NFL.

Carolina's Daryl Williams took a huge step forward with consistent performance, which earned him second-team All-Pro honors. The third-year man out of Oklahoma has established himself as a powerful run-blocker while also proving to be a more than adequate pass protector. Despite his massive frame (6'6", 330 lbs), Williams showed the efficiency in his pass set, foot quickness and range to bookend against some of the NFL's most explosive edge-rushers while also displaying the body control, mobility and lateral agility to recover when defenders moved him off his spot. 

Williams flashed dominant moments in the running game, generating good power at the point of attack to quickly strike, leverage and drive defenders off the line of scrimmage. In past seasons, Williams' conditioning seemed to be his limiting factor. That was not the case in 2017.

Built like a fireplug, Williams uses his quick feet to gain the advantage right from the snap. He's able to jump into the right gap to protect or run-block, and as long as he keeps his feet active and under control, he's hard to move. Williams has the potential to move even higher up this list as an ideal fit in Carolina's power-based schemes.

It's because Turner had a down year this past year.  Probably because Kalil was out and its hard to get used to playing next to a guy that, while good, was not up to Kalils level.

Norwell is gone, Both Kalil’s will be off the books after 2018. We’re going to see three new guys on that line after 2018 (sans Turner and Williams)

My guess says Moton will be tried out at LT, we will draft a guard to replace Norwell, Larsen will replace Kalil. Turner and Williams remain in their spots.

Big changes are coming in 2019. 

I really hope they let moton have a shot at the job in TC. I’d like to see Kalil benched. It’s not smart or feasible to cut him, but there is no reason we shouldn’t give the young guy a chance at some reps.

He really wasn't, you just hated on his ass for no apparent reason. No matter what you think, Turner was pretty average this year. Williams was keeping that right side going. LOL.

I think that had more to do with scheme rather ham personnel. It seemed like in pre season we ran Cmc correctly; lots of misdirection, pulling tackles or guards etc. in the regular season we just ran him straight up the middle several times.

      This is from 5 months ago. It was one or the other. Trade for one or draft one. We apparently called the Jets about Wilson. We also talked to the Seahawks about Metcalf. Drafting our own guy was the best course of action given the required investment. Regardless now is the time for Bryce Young to produce. We are fourth amongst all teams in cap spending on the OL. Back to back first round picks at WR and multiple young TE draft picks now. Very solid and respectable backfield. New pieces across the defense. The time is now.

      That was just the worst time to have their worst game of the season. One key deal was the broncos guess the Panthers would NOT change any plays or flow to the game. Another key point overlook that bronco defense was truly one of the best in the NFL history. It was the best defense the Panthers faced that year, by far. They were not ready for it, but broncos were ready for the Panthers. Mix in that bad luck, poor refs showcase, and this is the golden boys last game........ Panthers needed to win by 20 and the broncos defense was not going to allow that.  Panthers were the favorites and I believe they also thought that it was going to easier than them destroying NFC playoff teams as they marched to the SB. I've heard darin Gantt say the play calls were to give remmers help, but for some reason the team never did it. During the year they never had that problem, so maybe never practiced giving help via TE/RB, or WR chip. Cam was superman that year, no need for any adjustments...... Until you meet a legendary defense with studs at all levels, Think about it, Peyton was throwing wingless dunks for the whole season, the defense had to carry his corpse to the SB. That's how good they were, not many defense are able to get to the playoffs and win a SB without decent QB play. If you recall the beginning of that defense took Tim Teblows and his non-throwing arse to the playoffs couple years before. That's insane the level of defense needed to overcome.
