Cleveland should win the Super Bowl next year.   $110m, the first and fourth overall picks...

Of course, in about 2010 Marty had about $78m and we re--signed our core from a 4-12 team--went 6-10 the following year.  (going from memory)

They have 7 picks in the top 100!  And a crap ton of cash. It's about time they decide to stop sucking.

Lmaooo....saints with those so called cap issues explained by folks on here have more space than us coming off beating us 3 times in one season.

Brees will easily take most of that cap space up by himself. They can't really give him a longer deal and backload it either considering his age. They're going to have to maneuver the cap after signing Brees and won't really be players in FA at all. They had one spectacular draft last year but outside of that they haven't done a good job of building that team around Brees.

You're off on our 2010 record...we were 2-14 and miserably bad in fox's last year and the only year in the pickles era.  We did overspend that offseason on core players for no reason.  Funny that Deangelo williams bitches so much about the panthers when we literally backed a brinks truck up to his house.

Dude, they were 7-9 for 4 of the 5 previous years before last year. They also don't have Brees under contract which will take a HUGE chunk of that free money they have.

In that same time frame  we won the division 3 times.

So yeah, I'd say they had cap issues with poo records to show for it.

He bitches about DG because DG wasn’t an enabler and didn’t spoil D-Will like Hurney did.

7-9  isnt a bottom of the league terrible record and most of those losses they had were close games not to mention we were never a far and away a better team during that stretch outside of 2015 when we swept and even both those games were close. Listen, i get the homerism around here when it comes to the saints but lets not get in a back and forth cuz i choose to give them a little more credit. If i really thought they were THAT trash since 2013 i would say it.

They've had HISTORICALLY awful defenses the past 5 or so years. They were only even competent this year. The ONLY reason they were even competitive in that time frame was because of #9.  That offense is, was, and always will be lethal with him under center, but the team was so strapped for cash from poor drafting and cap management that they were only able to get to 7-9. If they hadn't made so many dumbass decisions and given Brees a mediocre defense they would have been consistent contenders. Look at this year. They were a middle of the road defense and went 11-5.

What does matter if they beat us 3 times in a row but were supposed to be cap strapped?

Will they have any cap after they pay the player most responsible for beating us 3 times?

They have been a badly managed team for some time, while we have been winning, and going to the dance almost every year.  You were trying to call out those of us who actually pay attention to the cap, and were forgetting they don't have their most expensive player under contract.

They’ve had one of the best QBs of all time and went over 3 years without at any point being above .500... That is truly pathetic.
